Well we have to wait and see, but i might like it, seems that with the Man in the High Castle we will get another alternate history series.

I just don't expect it to be.

Like you I haven't seen GOTs although I did read the 1st book not long after it came out. From what I've picked up from assorted clips and discussions about it and the fact they seem to have got away with a lot of sex and nudity by US standards I fear you will be right on that point. Which is likely to prompt a lot of anger in the real world given the probable racial context. Also as you say, something where the south not only 'wins' independence but keeps slavery to the present day and seems to prosper it not only extremely unlikely but very dystopic. Which is dispiriting in a fantasy story [to me at least] but is likely to be very divisive in a story based [however loosely] on real history. It might actuually present an interesting and educational series but like you I fear the chance of that is pretty small.

Well, we'll never know now, because HBO ended up cancelling the project altogether last week.
