I put my money on Western Sahara. We can see a fully-fledged Western Sahara within 20 years. Either the Polisario Front gets rowdy, or some diplomatic breakthrough is achieved. I know Morocco is stiff regarding Western Sahara, and resource deposits have been found near Western Sahara, which are unlikely to be relinquished by Morocco, but that's the territory with the most promising shot at nationhood.

Here is a list of serious independence movements currently going on. I'm not says these countries are likely to appear, but each one of them has a varying chance of becoming real nations. Whether or not they'll be recognized, that's another story.

-Katanga, Democratic Republic of the Congo -Reunion, France -Biafra, Nigeria -Somaliland, Somalia -Canary Islands, Spain -Zanzibar, Tanzania -Boer/Afrikaans, South Africa and Namibia -Western Sahara, Morocco
-Lakota, United States -Texas, United States -California, United States -Puerto Rico, United States -Cascadia, United States and Canada -Quebec, Canada -Martinique, France -Bermuda, United Kingdom -Greenland, Denmark -Chiapas Zapatistas, Mexico -Inuits, Canada -Guadalupe, France
-New Caledonia, France -French Polynesia, France -Mauri, New Zealand -Norfolk Island, Australia -Rapa Nui, Chile (Easter Island) -Cook Islands, New Zealand
-Northern Cyprus, Cyprus -Kurdistan, Iraq, Iran and Turkey -Hong Kong, People's Republic of China -Tibet, People's Republic of China -Macau, People's Republic of China -Republic of China, People's Republic of China -East Turkestan, People's Republic of China -Tuva, Russia -Assyria, Iraq -Siberia, Russia -Kashmir, Pakistan and India -Assam, India -Anatolia, Turkey

That's more less what half an hour of browsing around Wikipedia can achieve. I'm proud of it.

Awesome! Gotta check it out. Also, Friesland (or Frisia) was gonna be added in my list, but for some reason I forgot... Same with Flanders and Wallonia.

I think if you search well you find a lot more to add to the list. There are a lot of movements out there, and I found over 200 on basically every country on Earth. But for the sake of simplicity, I added the most important ones or the ones that seemed more likely to occur in at least 80 years.

That is a lot, but some might be known like the one in Catalonia and others might be a person bedroom idea.

For example, the idea of an independent Tibet is nearly impossible, yet there's a serious chance Caledonia will break free from France. Micronations, like Sealand (check it out, it's pretty interesting) will not be considered. Also, ideas that are too wacky (like, claiming the entire world) are out of question.

What, Catalonia? Highly unlikely.
The Principality of Sealand are a bunch of guys who claimed a large structure/base in open ocean as sovereign territory: a kingdom. They're off the coast of Britain yet not in British waters. They're very famous and one of the most well-organized micro-nations, if you ask me.
