I can't remember reading this, but how would 1930s-1950s Hollywood cope if their California or USA were teleported to the modern day?
Sure we'd get a lot of classic stars back, but i doubt they'd be a good fit for the modern world.

It would also be a hell of an economic shock, both for the US and the wider world. Would get a lot of stars from the period back but lose some modern ones and they could see a lot of culture shock, as would the ordinary Californian.

what about fifties stars who were loved then but are controversial now that they are dead - for example Liberace was swooned over by teenage girls in the 1950s but today is thought of as either a campy joke or as a figure of hatred in the gay community for being an Armored Closet Gay.

There are likely to be some questions about some of the activities they got up to - or allegedly so - in many cases. Plus the great changes in culture. The sort of normal racism, sexism, bigotry etc that would have been taken for granted then would kick up a storm today.

So whe have old Disney run by Walt Disney himself and the mega corporation that uses his name, but who also suffered a major loss as it most likely was basset in 2018 California that has been replaced by 1940 California.

That raises interesting questions of ownership as Walt might try to claim ownership of the modern company. Similarly with people who have died since but are now back alive there could be questions of copyright say.

Presuming he has assets to pay for it. Anything outside California is no longer his and what's inside could see serious devaluation. Who wants a 1930's aircraft for instance other than some historical reenactment fans? When you add in the price of medical care in the US as well.

Well there is Hughes Aircraft Company that is basses in California, i think some aircaft beleoning to Trans World Airlines (TWA) which he owns fly from LAX, so he has part of a old 1950s airliner and some others assets and companies that survived the event i think. But i think beside Walt Disney and Howard Hughes we could have other people living there we might be fascinated to see again, also do we know if there might be any duplicates of famous people who lived in California in 1950 and might still live as of 2018.

There's bound to be a few. Although they will be getting on as if a baby in say 1939 would be pushing 80 now. Plus they would have had to relocate from California at some point or possibly just passing through. - I thought about Debbie Reynolds who died a couple of years back and was born in 1932 but apart from being an unknown child at the time she was actually born in Texas so is unlikely to have her child version in California.
