(Its affect on the Rannian ecosystem remains greatly debated to this day)

Also, lordroel , the influence of Gene Roddenberry and Star Trek cannot be underestimated here -- there was and is great support to explore the universe, for real. The Vulcans have arrived and Earth never had to go through the Eugenics Wars nor World War III to Boldly Go where no human (besides Hal Jordan) has gone before.

So is there a Khan Noonien Singh on Earth-1 ore is he dead.

Actually, ITTL the Rannian arrival ended up changing Trek history somewhat from what we know it as.

In one sentence: Vulcan arrived as friends to Earth, uplifting the Earthers as they recovered from the Eugenics Wars/World War III. This was first referenced in Star Trek IV (1986) and later throughout Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

Star Trek: First Contact (1996) was about the TNG crew being thrown back into time, as Zefram Cochrane's first warp flight inside the solar system attracts the attention of the Vulcans -- and a time-traveling Borg faction that wants to kill Cochrane, before his flight, to allow for a later Borg invasion of the Alpha and Beta quadrants. (In Enterprise Season One, Episode One, Cochrane is shown making a speech on Unification Day from his new home on Rann, in Alpha Centauri)

Star Trek: Enterprise lasted seven seasons ITTL. The Vulcans were much friendlier and more supportive to Earth than OTL, preparing the populace and the government for what was out there. By 2151, Earth had made numerous near- and deep-space missions with Vulcan support; the Enterprise NX-01 would be the first ship since the SS Valiant to go it alone, exploring the unknown (even then, the Vulcans would have an observer on board). Enterprise still had the Temporal Cold War and added the formation of the Federation (with Rann in place of Alpha Centauri) and, in Seasons 6 and 7, the Romulan War.

Oh yeah. Peter David's Star Trek: New Frontier went seven seasons, airing 2002-09 in syndication and was about as true to the creator's vision as you could get.

It plays to the center -- the Dems are a little further to the left, the GOP a little further to the right ITTL -- which won the Presidency for you-know-who. There wasn't enough time before the 2016 election to build the party to where it could gobble up a significant portion of the House and Senate, gubernatorial seats, local seats, etc. That's what you-know-who is leaving to his people to do over the next eight years.
