Stephen Collins as Captain William Decker
Recently promoted, Will Decker takes command of the enterprise from a retiring James T. Kirk.
John Winston as Commander Kyle
An experienced officer, Kyle serves as first officer.
Persis Khambatta as Lt. Commander Ilia (season 1 and 2)
An old flame from Decker’s past, Ilia is an empath with healing abilities.
Robin Curtis as Lt. Saavik (season 3)
Ilia’s “temporary” replacement (following Khambatta’s injury in a car accident in West Germany). She is half Romulan, which made her an outcast in both Romulan and Vulcan society. Like her mentor Spock, who supported her admission into Starfleet, she often struggles with her emotional half.
David Gautreaux as Lieutenant Xon
Another Vulcan crew member who serves as helmsman.
Majel Barret as Chief Medical Officer Christine Chapel
Former nurse from the original Enterprise who now serves as its doctor.
Grace Lee Whitney as Chief Engineer Janice Rand
Former Yeoman who is now chief engineer.

19)Warrior World-Decker discovers an amnesiac Kumura on a “warrior planet” founded by various warlike species including Klingons who want to return to their old ways. Decker offers Kumara a position on the Enterprise after freeing him which Kumara accepts.
20)First Frontier-The Enterprise discovers a lost colony based on the Old West, including a tribe of Vulcans who are being mistreated by the human colonists.
Following the conclusion of the fourth season Star Trek: The Wrath of Kahn is released as the first full length Star Trek feature film. The plot involves a returning Admiral Kirk, Spock, and Decker joining forces against Kahn Noonian Singh, Decker and Ilia coming to terms with their feelings for each other (special guest star Persis Khambatta in a returning role) and Kumara's future aboard the Enterprise.
Season Five (1982-1983)
1)Ni Var-Saavik is split between her Vulcan and Romulan halves, complicating her relationship with Xon. Kumara becomes a permanent crew member.

3)The Enchanted Pool-Xon finds an enigmatic woman while searching for a missing shuttlecraft.
4)The Face on the Barroom Floor-a series of mishaps lands Decker in jail, among other things.
5)The Hunting-Saavik participates in a Vulcan hunting ritual where they revert to primal states.

7)Mind-Sifter-Decker is driven insane and sent back in time to 1950s Earth by the Romulans.
8)Surprise!-Decker's birthday party is interrupted by a creature that lives within the ship's computer.

2)The Homecoming Pt. 1 & 2-Saavik finally returns to Vulcan and reunites with her estranged Vulcan mother while investigating a conspiracy.
3)Neutral Zone-Historic trade talks with the Romulan Empire take place aboard the Enterprise. Kumara is forced to confront his own anti-Romulan prejudices.
4)No Room at the Inn
5)Once a Klingon-Kumara faces off against Klingons who are still opposed to peace with the Federation.

18)Starship Down-The Enterprise crash-lands in an alien ocean.

20)The Warning Series finale. Enterprise encounters a stable wormhole that leades to another part of the galaxy. Before they decide to go in, however, they are contacted by ancient alien beings (using Saavik as an avatar) who warn them against going through. Two parter that ends with a controversial cliffhanger as the ship disappears into the wormhole.
A new series, Star Trek, New Voyages,set in an unexplored part of the galaxy with the Enterprise trying to get home, picks up where the old one left off...
Meanwhile the following feature films are made:
Star Trek II (1984) Decker and his crew travel back in time to stop renegade Romulans from assassinating John F. Kennedy before he becomes President. Takes place before the series finale.
Star Trek: Titans (1986) Decker and his crew confront ancient beings claiming to be the Titans of Greek mythology.
Star Trek: Prime Directive (1988) Decker and his crew are accused of violating Starfleet's highest law and starting a nuclear war on a pre-warp planet.
Star Trek: Federation (1992) Zefram Cochrane returns, and helps Decker and the crew battle Arik Soong, a fanatic from the Eugenics Wars.
