The Second American Revolution occurred in late 2015. The United States was transformed into the theocratic Republic of Gilead. Civil war beset the nation. Canada, with its sovereignty many times impinged, suffered serious economic near collapse to go along with waves of refugees crossing the border and outrageous demands from Gilead which were accompanied by open military threats. NATO was dead: the Canadian–European Mutual Security Treaty rose in its place. Europe has become Canada’s largest trading partner as well as the tie-in with defence against Gilead possible expansionism but more so any more ‘anti-terror raids’. Europe has a big troop commitment to Canada, one which started in mid-2016. It is ultimately filled by military forces of sixteen nations yet Britain, France and Germany provide the largest numbers… at huge expense to them too. None of the major ground units of the Canadian & European armies are on the Gilead-Canadian border itself. By the summer of 2019, with tensions increasing even further as Gilead looks for an external enemy to unite the nation in the middle of domestic unrest, Europe increases its military contingent. War looks possible… CANADIAN II CORPS

Royal Slovak Army (A Different Dutch War)
On May 31st 1945 under an agreement signed in Naples the Slovak Republic (Slovak: Slovenská republika), was reformed into a kingdom named the Slovak Kingdom and whit it the former Slovak Republic Armed Forces became the Royal Slovak Armed Forces which consist of the Royal Slovak Army who is made up of a force of 40,000 soldiers divided into four infantry divisions whit one forming the Slovak Army Group which is part of the German Army group north Ukraine as of February 1948 and the Royal Slovak Air Force.
The organization of the 1st, 3rd and 4th infantry divisions belonging to the Royal Slovak Army except for the 2nd Slovak (security) Infantry Division which is used primarily for security and anti-partisan operations are all the same. All three (1st, 3rd and 4th) infantry Divisions are made op of 3 infantry regiments each whit two infantry battalions, 1 artillery regiment whit two artillery battalions, 1 engineer battalion, 1 signals battalion, 1 armored battalion and smaller company’s ore platoons.
The Royal Slovak Army 1st, 2nd and 3rd armored battalions each consist of two tank companies whit 24 tanks each whit the tank being German build Panzer IV.
1st Slovak Infantry Division
Created in August 1941, the 1st Slovak Infantry Division was engaged in many battles on the East Front from 1942 to 1945 and suffered heavy losses in that time.
The 1st Slovak Infantry Division is the division which was deployed the most on the East Front is as of February 1948 deployed in the Slovak Kingdom itself.
2nd Slovak (security) Infantry Division
Created in 1941 for security and anti-partisan operations, the 2nd Slovak (security) Infantry Division was station in Northern Ukraine and Belorussia from 1941 to 1943 before returning home in the Slovak republic, in 1944 the 2nd Slovak (security) Infantry Division was again deployed towards the East front where it remained until late 1945 before returning home again. In October 1945 it was decided to deploy only one of its two infantry ( Security ) Regiments to give the remaining units of the division time to get back to strength , the first regiment to be deployed was the 201st infantry (Security) Regiment which was sent to serve in Reichskommissariat Belarus where it remained until the Central Alliance-Soviet Union cease fire on July 15th 1946 , later the 202nd infantry (Security) Regiment was deployed to serve in the Reichskommissariat Belarus area where the regiment is still deployed out of as of February 1948.
Unlike the 1st, 3rd and 4th infantry divisions the 2nd Slovak (security) Infantry Division only has two infantry (Security) Regiment whit three infantry (Security) battalions each, one armored car battalion, one engineer battalion, one signals battalion, one artillery regiment and several and smaller company’s ore platoons attached to it.
3rd Slovak Infantry Division
Created on Augustus 16th 1945 the 3rd Slovak Infantry Division was deployed on the East Front in March 1946 where it formed the Slovak Army Group and was part of German Army group North Ukraine. Only two months later the 3rd Slovak Infantry Division suffered heavily in its first engagement sins it was created when the Soviet Union launched operation Red Force, the 3rd Slovak Infantry Division continued fighting until the Central alliance-Soviet Union cease fire on July 15th 1946 when it was replaced by the 4th Slovak Infantry Division.
As of February 1948, the 3rd Slovak Infantry Division is deployed in the Slovak Kingdom.
4th Slovak Infantry Division
After the 3rd Slovak Infantry Division was created a decision was made to raise another infantry division and on December 7th 1946 the 4th Slovak Infantry Division was created.
While it is the only Slovak Infantry Division that did not see any action many of its officers and non-commissioned officers are veterans who served in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Slovak Infantry Divisions. In September 1946 the 4th Slovak Infantry Division replaced the 3rd Slovak Infantry Division who suffered heavily fighting the Soviets as the main Slovak Army Group unit a job it is still doing as of February 1948.
Royal Slovak Air Force (A Different Dutch War)
The Slovak Kingdom has an independent air force named the Royal Slovak Air Force (Slovak: Kráľovský Slovenské vzdušné zbrane),the successor of the Slovak Air Force (Slovak: Slovenské vzdušné zbrane) which existed from 1939 to 1945. The Royal Slovak Air Force consist of three fighter squadrons which are the 11th, 12th and 13th stihacia letka (Fighter Squadron), the 1st , 2nd and 3rd observation squadrons and one mixed bomber squadron named the 1st Bombardovací letka ( bomber squadron ). All seven squadrons belonging to the Royal Slovak Air Force operated out of three air bases which are Spišská Nová Ves, Poprad and Vajnory air bases, the Royal Slovak Air Force also operates from German Kaiserliche Luftwaffe airbases of Piešťany, Trenčín and Tri Duby located in the Slovak Kingdom.
Fighter Aircraft
Messerschmitt Bf 109
In 1942 the Deutsche Luftwaffenmission in der Slowakei realized that more modern aircraft would have to be furnished to the Slovaks if they were to continue to participate on the front line and therefore offered 27 BF-109E Emils models which were delivered in that same year, in March 1943 a batch of 12 Bf-109G models where handed over to the Slovak Air Force, in 1945 when the Slovak Kingdom was formed the newly created Royal Slovak Air Force received 20 Bf-109G models to replace the destroyed Bf-109 fighters flying whit the Royal Slovak Air Force, as of February 1948 only a handful of Bf-109 fighters are still flying whit the Royal Slovak Air Force.
Focke-Wulf Fw 200
In 1944 a batch of 30 Fw-200 fighters were handed over to the Slovak Air Force, currently as of February 1948, the surviving Fw-200 fighters together whit the BF-109 form the Letka 11 ( English:11th Fighter Squadron) and are used for training and home land defenses.
Focke-Wulf Fw 250
A high altitude interceptor fighter whit 68 in service whit the 12th and 13th fighter squadron as of February 1948, the Royal Slovak Air Force is the only user after the German Kaiserliche Luftwaffe which operates the Fw-250.
Liaison and reconnaissance aircraft
Fieseler Fi 156 Storch
A German liaison aircraft whit 30 in service whit the 1st and 2nd reconnaissance and observation squadrons of the Royal Slovak Air Force as of February 1948.
Focke-Wulf Fw 189 Uhu
A German twin-engine, twin-boom, three-seat tactical reconnaissance and army cooperation aircraft of which more then 12 are in service whit the 3rd reconnaissance and observation squadron of the Royal Slovak Air Force as of February 1948.

Many thanks to James G , for giving me the ORBAT for the 80s-era 9th Infantry Division, which served as inspiration for this. "In light of the percieved threats posed by Russia, China, and Iran, the Department of Defence was authorised to create a corps-level command that could deploy to the Baltic States, the Persian Gulf, or South East Asia in a no more than 21 days. As a means of providing the United States with rapidly deployable formations that were also highly mobile, the DOD experimentally utilised the 'Modular Brigade Combat Team' concept, combining the mobility of Stryker infantry units with the firepower of armored brigades, which would be needed to counter any major overland offensive operations. By 2023, X Corps had formally been stood up at Fort Benning, and in the event of a crisis, the 9th & 24th Infantry Divisions' would rapidly follow the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions under XVIII Airborne Corps into the field." Operation Avenging Eagle
Eric L. Harry’s novel Arc Light (written 1992 to ’92 but published later in ’94) contained an American-led invasion of Russia. That is codenamed Operation Avenging Sword and set in either ’98 or ‘99. It comes after a nuclear attack on America, a return strike on Russia, a collapse of NATO and a political situation in the US which sees the president impeached & removed leading to his successor intending to invade Russia. The invasion is not exactly a ‘Blue Dawn’ scenario but close enough. I have speculated a partial ground forces ORBAT for that campaign. This would be based on what is in the novel and the POD stretching back several years.

Operation Avenging EagleEric L. UNITED STATES SEVENTH ARMYForces available for the main invasion of western Russia

Nice Orbat James G , have the novel as well, ore what is left over it after my dog once eat parts of it. A tasty novel indeed. I plan to add more to it: the Poles and others. Then there is the Russian side too. But not the Germans,French ore Dutch who decided to stick World War III out, which in the novel is not liked much by the American administration.
