Turkish civil war! That will be bloody. Turkey is a well-armed country itself and has many borders over which interested parties could send arms. Yikes. I hadn't thought about it all that much, I just plucked a scenario out of thin air to stick the ORBAT in - TL idea perhaps? Good an idea as any. While now we know the 2016 coup plotters did not have much wider support in the military, there was a very real worry at the time that it would escalate into civil war considering how uncharacteristically violent it was in comparison to past Turkish coups, especially when you started seeing things like attack helicopters shooting protesters and jets bombing parliament. The revelation after the fact that Erdogan may very nearly have avoided being killed definitely doesn't help matters. IIRC the plot had been discovered by Turkish intelligence; the plotters learned of this and tried to act right then and there, which likely contributed to the failure of the coup. Maybe ITTL they're able to avoid detection and are able to spread influence to the point the armed forces are split between the coup plotters and government loyalists? Maybe Ergodan and perhaps other critical personnel are killed and the country just sort of fractures?

Erdogan's demise would make a reasonable catalyst for civil war if nobody is really able to assert themselves in power afterwards, numerous generals try to claim power, Kurdish areas declare independence, and all-out fighting breaks out between various military units. NATO intervention is all but assured, especially if Incirlik is attacked by one side or another, with possible interferrance from Russia and Iran as well, and no clear leader emerging within Turkey.

It could be a great story. Full on refugee crisis for Europe too. a spill over into Armenia as well possibly.

Should the Wall have not come down and the Cold War continued, there were plans at Britain's MOD to realign some British Army forces in the early 90s. Apart from the British Army of the Rhine, follow up forces for deployment to Europe could have looked like this:
5th Airborne Brigade
2ND INFANTRY DIVISION 15th TA Infantry Brigade 24th Airmobile Brigade 49th TA Infantry Brigade
5TH INFANTRY DIVISION 1st Infantry Brigade 3rd Royal Marines Commando Brigade 48th Gurkha Infantry Brigade (flying in from Far East)

What is the reserve that the British can send if there is another front, let’s say in Ukraine.

What is the reserve that the British can send if there is another front, let’s say in Ukraine. Practically nothing. This would be the maximum that Britain could deploy, and even this would be a massive struggle. I suppose 3 Commando Brigade & 16 Air Assault Brigade would also be deployed, probably to Norway/Iceland but they might be available for Ukraine or assigned to XVIII Airborne Corps/II MEF if either of those American units are in the Baltic Region.

Operation Palisade - In the near future, a coup backed by the GRU seizes power in Guatemala as part of Moscow's ongoing campaign to exert influence overseas. Supplied with a squadron of Su-35s flown by Venezuelan pilots, Guatemala invades Belize in a bid by the new government to bring a restless population back into the fold; when several British government facilities are destroyed in the fighting, and two platoons of Irish Guards training at the British Army's facility in Belize, are killed or captured in the fighting, the government has no alternative but to send a task force to liberate Belize and, if circumstances demand, remove the military dictatorship in Guatemala City...

Are the F-35 mention in your orbat flying from the PoW. Nope, the RAF Lighting IIs would be flying from land bases in the Carribean. The Fleet Air Arm would have its own F-35Bs flying from the PoW. Good scenario for a war story here! I'll admit it's tempting - something told from varying POVs, perhaps.

But as far as i understand the F-35 in service with both the RAF and FAA fall under the control of Lightning Force HQ.
