I know that this is a slightly stupid question, but I want to make proper maps for a top secret project, so I want to ask if anyone happens to have a free to use blank map of Eurasia and Africa. It's meant for a story set in the ancient worldz but it should be easy to make the right alterations for the parts where the map changed. Of course, it would be great if the map is pretty big.

Not fifty) or is just too small to make places like Epirus, Etruria, Samnium, and the like visible. I've given up on all the individual satrapies if only because it's impossible to find their borders, but I do want to make a nice map. Or rather, a series of maps, one for every Olympiad from the 114th onwards.

An old map of mine to mark my comeback (I hope): It shows the Tripartitie Indenture, an alliance/agreement reached by Owain Glyndwr, Sir Edmund Mortimer and Henry Percy to partition the kingdom of England when they had defeated Henry IV, obviously this never happened (but is the focus of my TL on AH.com ).

Interesting map and very good looking although it looks like there are some odd salients there. Most noticeably that Welsh controlled finger of land pushing into the Pennines. Also the border between 'England' and Northumbria seems to zig-zag rather a bit. Was there an actual detailed plan for the partition if they had won? I remember reading some stuff in the distant past but thought in included Wales getting a the bulk of the SW of England.
Also wonder who would come out on top in the inevitable later conflicts. Probably the 'English' state as Northumbria would have problems with the Scots to the north and also I think has less of the more developed lands. The Welsh are likely to lose their English speaking lands fairly quickly to one or other of the other two simply due to language and cultural differences.

One-off, possibly two-off Alternate History Map of the United States of America (or these United States of Atlanta, since America wouldn't quite fit). The original intention was to have a scenario where Ireland, the first colony of the English Empire, joins the American Revolution, but the scenario eventually expanded to have basically the entire British Empire outside of India, Africa, and Great Britain itself was in open revolt. These 29/30 colonies, depending on if you count Belize or not, would form a union, one that's certainly a lot less stable than OTL. These colonies would include many fierce confederalist colonies who would resist in attempted centralization, most notably Quebec, Ireland, and the small Caribbean islands. the French Quebecois and Irish would resist being brought right back under Anglo-Saxon rule, and the Islands would resist having the influence and rule of the much more populous Continent. As time would go on, this confederalist attitude would only stiffen, and attempts to federalize would be limited. What would begin as an Ameri-wank TL would turn into an ameri-screw in all but area, as "America" without a central government or centralized economy would be unable to spread it's influence across the world, at least not efficiently. America would likely spread from sea to shining sea, with the Oregon territory no doubt falling into American hands, but who knows if they would get their hands on Northern Mexico with a limited army, or would survive a Civil War (but at the same time, who's to say that civil war would ever come).

Shame my maps aren't as classy as ankh or minnesotanationalist are, but here goes. Out of the Blue (Into The Fire) map of the world circa Franco/German Armistice, 15th June 1940. (contains Alien Space Bats, but only to limited extent) [Larger version of this one available on request] (heavy ASB involvement) Contains spoilers, but it is better to travel than arrive. De facto time-traveler locations are at Bohmen und Mahren, Bornholm, nr Turku, Finland, Suffolk, Anglesey, Ireland, if your eyesight isn't up to much.

That must be a big and powerful empire, also nice map. Sweden's had a long history of being grade-A military badasses (they'd have to, otherwise what would Sabaton sing about?), and they were the ones I pictured unifying Scandinavia through diplomacy, compromise, and warfare. I imagine they'd definitely be one of the world's great powers.

Sweden is the great power that unified Scandinavia, Sabaton is a real-world power metal group from Sweden who sings about historical events and I love them.
