Well the question, who is Turkmenistan going to support, the Reds ore the Whites, also Turkmen Ground Forces are not the most advance in the world, despite using former Soviet military hardware from the 90s.

Think you meant to exclude that not?
Did a post then lost it near completion so summarising quickly.
I suspect they would want neither white's nor red's to win in Russia, at least for a while and might seek to keep the Russian civil war going as long as possible although direct interference would be difficult with Kazakhstan in the way.
One problem they might have is some flooding as their currently in dispute with Kazakhstan about how much water the latter extracts from rivers running through both countries for their cotton industry. Going back to 1917 I suspect there will be a lot more water in the rivers, as Kazakhstan population will be much lower and there was IIRC no cotton industry there.
Given its 3 decades since the fall of the Soviet union that suggests their able to maintain their ex-Soviet hardware, at least to some degree so their going to be militarily superior to just about anyone for the foreseeable future. Of course there are restrictions due to logistics and infrastructure and if they went on some sort of conquest spree and overreached then in the medium/long term that could collapse suddenly and dramatically. Especially since their population is only about 5M.
One other thing they might do is side with the Central Powers in the ongoing WWI. Have read that Enver Pasha - the same one responsible for the Turkish military disaster being recorded in the WWI day by day - was in 1918, even as the Arabic regions of the empire were collapsing under the allied onslaught/local rebellion seeking to establish a new empire in central Asia based on the Turkish identity of much of the population there. If even a few of the Turkmen elements in the country identify with the Ottoman state and are able to bring modern weapons and equipment with then it possibly could have a dramatic effect while if the government itself supported the CPs it could well win them the war.
