There was a good TL I saw on ah.com where the Reagan assassination attempt is fatal, I read it a few weeks ago but I've lost track of it now. IIRC there's another one where Bush is killed on 9/11 which was quite well written.

Reagan and Bush 43 assassinations are plentiful. I've seen good ones and bad ones.

There is also Death of a President (2006 film), where President George W. Bush is assassinated in 2007, Vice President Dick Cheney, becomes president.
