"I did the best I could for you America! And all it takes is one RINO in Wyoming to elect radical AOC to the Presidency of United States. We will be PRIMARYING this WEAK Republican in 2026!" -@therealdonaldjtrump
"We won this election fair and square. Some red gates will say this election was stolen, but we followed all procedure. I look forward to being your next President." -@aoc
"Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro announces a safe place for American Conservatives in São Paulo, states America will be the next Venezuela." -@ny Times
14 days separated the election of AOC and her inauguration. Conservatives where in uproar across the United States. Protests broke out in Cheyenne, Wyoming over Cheney's vote. Protestors numbered in the several hundred thousands, and surpassed the population of the state of Wyoming. Many conservatives stated that they would leave the country if Josh Hawley was not the Vice President. As inauguration came close, protests in Washington grew to the millions.
The day started with the Junior Senator from New York meeting President Trump at the White House. While the exact details of the meeting where classified, it is reported that tensions where high. Things went much smoother when Vice President Pence showed former AG Josh Hawley around his new place. Things then moved to the steps of the Capitol as the Trumps and Ocasio-Cortez's took a limo ride to the Capitol Building. Joining them for the inauguration ceremony was Speaker of the House of Representatives Hakeem Jeffries, Senate Majority Leader John Thune, former Presidents Clinton, Bush, and Obama and there wives, and dozens of congressman and governors. Additionally, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau joined in at the invitation of Oscario-Vortez (French President Macron was also invited, however could not make it due to family matters).
Things started off fine with Taylor Swift signing the National anthem and Cori Bush giving the invocation. AOC took the oath of office from Chief Justice Roberts, while Hawley took the oath from Clarence Thomas. However, AOCs inaugural address, which lasted 11 minutes, rilled up the crowd. The ceremony began to come to a close, however a truck carrying a larger quantity of oil drove into the crowd, exploding 35 yards from the capitol. Chaos and eventually guns where fired. All dignitaries made it out safely, with the exception of Governor Stacey Abrams, who was shot in her right hand.
AOC took a helicopter ride to Camp David, while Mayor Bowser declared a state of emergency. The driver and shooter where apprehended, with both of them being a pair of West Virginia Miners who followed the QAnon conspiracy theory. All prominent politicians denounced the attack before sundown. AOCs presidency was not off to a great start.
Going against a GOP supermajority in the Senate, AOCs cabinet picks where threatened from the beginning. AOC needed the most loyal and progressive cabinet members to prevent a 25th amendment from being issued by VP Hawley. From the beginning, this proved unlikely.
AOC started by pushing her nominations for State, Defense, and DHS. Senator Tammy Duckworth of Illinois was confirmed in a 55-44-1 vote. Senator Chris Murphy was also confirmed, but in a narrower 52-46-1 vote. AOCs DHS nominee failed to be confirmed.

Your Canadian electoral analysis did not age well at all and, as you move further away from your PoD, the general shape of your political analysis goes from fairly sound to wild and not driven by facts and events.
The entire 2024 election smacks of a transposition of 2020 into entirely different circumstances and a very different world. Nothing much happens in 2021 to 2024 to shift the paradigm, apparently. Cortez getting the nomination after two terms of Trump is a …highly original…approach, but not really driven by patterns of American electoral behaviour. After 2 terms of either party, the third term is the key to entrench change, not to radically headbutt backwards. The Dems didn’t nominate a radical after 1981-88 and it took a New Democrat to break through after 12 years.
There are cases of running out of steam after 8 years, resulting in the likes of McCain’s nomination in 2008, but I’m not sure that the same circumstance would apply here. The entire Trump Republican project is undone by…Liz Cheney? Rather contrived.
