Another thing to point out is that wonker should have been sued by the damages done by the rotton childrin and could have because the kids never sighned anything.I wonder if wonkier had considered healthy candy in this age of obesity. In america and the rest of the world our waistlines are swelling not shrinking. Kids never pointed out. Only later, did we realize that Wonka was in deep shit with the law. Interestingly, that fanfic covers the trauma that Veruca Salt had to face as a 25 year old in 2021. Even Charlie still gets PTSD from the scene where Veruca was dragged down that hole by the squirrels. Wonka (and then maybe Charlie and his father) would have run afoul of labor laws, child safety laws, health codes, and changes in diet today. I kind of lean towards the oompa Loompas as being some sort of alien refugees given asylum on Earth in exchange for their advanced food making and video shrinking technology. I'd agree to this. If we were to go the sequel The Great Glass Elevator, there were aliens in it. The film/book Hass to be completely spaced bats for it to be for kids. I at least with the original Wonka movie there is a fan theory that Wonka was a cannibal. The fan theory isn’t implausible if the book or the movie was rated R. Well, I do like going down the rabbit hole sometimes some of the theories posted on the Internet about Charlie and the chocolate factory are beyond realistically not a part of the authors, intended moral and world view but it’s funny sometimes to look at them. Grandpa Joe in Willy Wonka in the chocolate factory, theoretically, is not lame, but in Charlie and the chocolate factory, it’s much more believable that he is badly injured to get out of bed. I would like to use both of these versions, because both of them have realistic parts. oh, realistically, the buck doesn’t tell you which country because it could be any country and I would’ve argued that the new prequel is superior to both of those films. Realistically Wonka would have to get the parents and children to sign. They are not liable for your safety.

We need to look at Roald Dahl’s childhood to see the roots of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, ranging from him testing chocolates for Fry’s to forbidden prep school jaunts to sweet shops. This was already a different world to that of an English child in the early 60s when it came out, with rationing not a factor for that particular tranche of postwar children, yet it remaining in the lived memory of their parents and older relatives.
This informed Dahl’s fictional world. Modern liability is largely a product of the common law emerging from Donoghue v Stevenson in 1932, so the modern concept of wavers, liability and more didn’t exist in its modern form even in the early 1960s when the novel was written.
Dahl’s books were almost universally set in a fantastical England. That the matter was somewhat obscured by the Mid Atlantic setting of the 1971 picture doesn’t change that.

The Bucket of Salt fanfic (set in 2019, 14 years after the events of the 2005 film) I am reading already has Wonka truthers who aren't entirely wrong. Who knows if Augustus Gloop, Veruca Salt, Violet Beauregard, and Mike Teavee went on to rant what happened in the plant. The 24-year old Charlie Bucket has to shoot down all those claims about the Wonka Factory almost killing four children. He feels guilty with it because he knows that would make in complacent in Wonka's schemes. Charlie fears that he would get a visit from the British labor officers and the Metropolitan police. Even as a 24-year old, Charlie's relationship with Wonka has started to deteriorate. Now as I am reading it, Charlie is hiding form Wonka that he has a platonic relationship with Veruca Salt. I'm still half-way into the fanfic. I'm sure at some point, Wonka will find out Charlie is dating Veruca and some fringe conspiracy theorist will prove something sinister happened to the four Golden Ticket Winners.

simon darkshade, completly diffrent world ! The degree of poverty they are in doesn't make sense in the movie, but I do like how Charlie's childhood isn't miserable. They are happy, yet they have nothing. The thing resembling close to a toy is the Charles model of the chocolate factory. I love the new Willy Wonka film, and while those YouTubers make good points, I don't think Grandpa Joe was faking it. That doesn't seem the intent . Plus, Grandpa wanted to have fun with his poor grandson. The 1971 grandpa probably believes in fun falsehoods over simple facts; after all, it is space bat material in a more realistic world as for the Candyman, he isn't necessarily giving free candy. They bought it all before, and if he is, it is out of proportion so those with money can buy more candy. Also, what the candy man is doing isn't bad because there was a time when loving children was seen as good. Also, whats wrong with encouraging children to buy candy and if its manipulation, then its just to buy candy at least what the writers intended, I think for the film Wonka is trying to build character by making the brats better can we use the Tom and Jerry version ? gillan1220,

The 2005 version which was directed by Tim Burton likes to keep things rather symbolic. The black and white hue is meant to symbolize the poverty the family of Charlie is experiencing. Hence, we get Charlie's ambiguous town that looks straight from the Great Depression but the world is in the 21st Century as we see Atlanta, New York, Denver, and Tokyo being modern. Marrakesh, Morocco is briefly shown in one scene but it resembles on how Indiana Jones portrays North Africa during the interwar era. The Bucket of Salt fanfic has Charlie's home being adjusted to East London. Re: 1971 version. So many theories show that Grandpa Joe is the villain. Nice theories, but who knows? It's all fan theories after all. Some even say Wonka rigged the whole thing and knew that Charlie the Good Boy would be the winner. As for the Tom and Jerry version, it's a mix of 1971 and modern-day. I'm one of the few that actually loves that crossover whereas most of the ratings have it negative.

In the original 1971 movie, the grandpa is sticking up for Charlie, and if we are to go by the book adaptation and, I guess, the scripts, he is bedridden, but as already mentioned, the 200s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is much more believable like in the book. I like merging the 2 worlds into one, too. I wonder what Willy Wonka did in WW2, but this world may not have a second ww2, but the books resemble ww2 and post ww2 as Britain is recovering. Boiled cabbage is better than potatoes in my opinion. Potatoes were rationed during the recovery for Britain, but they perhaps grew some of those vegetables. I could definitely understand why a chocolate bar, which cost 10 cents in the book, was his favorite food. which candy bars would you wish to try? Nutty crunchy for me, Charlie was the fudgemallo delight. in the 1971 version, the golden tickets are only found in the regular candy bars not his new candy the scuptuptous bars. the new Wonka film gee Europe sure is ethically diverse for the 1920s though its mannerisms feel older . The Bucket of Salt fanfic mentions that Dr. Wilbur Wonka (father of Willy) married a Czech refugee who escaped to Britain in 1939. Wonka would only be born in 1961 as he is stated to 58 in the fanfic, which is set in 2019. WWII still likely occurs in all variants of the media, be in 1964 novel, the 1971 movie, or the 2005 Tim Burton Musical.

In this thread, we are going down the rabbit hole for sure but we had so much fanfiction! movieweb.com/willy-wonka-movies-in-order-release-date/Well, if people are gonna believe in that and I’m gonna say Willy Wonka was is a divorced kid. He lives with his mother at first, and he would visit his father. I can’t remember in the new Wonka film if it shows his mother dying. otherwise, it would make sense that Willy Wonka was not used to such a cold environment as he was used to the tropics of the Amazon. It appears Willy Wonka went from having no money, probably doing substance of living on a boat, and then to wealthier circumstances than his father is a dentist. When his father said, there will be no chocolate! The chocolate is what reminds Willy Wonka of his mother, and it would make sense that’s why they divorced. The chocolate candy-loving mama and straight dental hygienist father are not a good match. The theory I produced has as much logic as I think some of the Wonka film fan theories. Also, the Oompa Loompas could have two separate species or them looking like oranges just they're makeup.

I edited my post. The Willy Wonker prequels show that Wonka probably had a good childhood, at least without considering any additional movies or other content. The film Charlie and the Chocolate Factory shows the darker side of Willy Wonka, including his childhood.
This troubled childhood, perhaps, is combined with the father not being present during her death. Wonka perhaps feels his father could have done more to support the family, such as providing dental care. Then Wonka arrives in Europe, most likely in the UK, and tries to fit in. his father, being a dentist even before the massive braces, is still scared to disappoint his father. Perhaps Willy tries not to think about his mamma's chocolate because it would trigger the happiness he longs for.
Then, after a really long time, he tries chocolate, and he realizes how good his mother's candy was,but he knows better than to make chocolate at home, so it has to be a secret. He runs away becoming a sailor eventually and decided to forget his father by honoring mom through her candy

Ice cream that doesn’t melt here you are. I wonder if Willy Wonka has his own Oompa Loompa plantation harvesting chocolate beans sugarcane and coconuts and other fruits you know fun fact about Britain once upon a time they grew its own food at a more sustainable rate but by the time of the 1900s sheep were largely been exported t from Australia and other foods from the empire to be consumed. For so many years the US main export was grain which was sometimes called edible gold. Four to the grain farmer that grain of theirs was their gold to them .During World War II into a lesser extent World War I Britain had to go back so many years ago when Britian was a custom to growing their own food as they became so used to importing foods.
Churchill looked at rationing for his people he replied the plate of food which I believe is the equivalent of meat for a burger his reply that’s a nice meal oh no Churchill that food is for an entire week he replies my people have suffered! It does appear that World War II rationing may have affected British cuisine even when food was becoming more affordable during the 50s.
One thing to notice in neither film do the buckets have a car

I am keen what a chocolate omlete from a golden goose would be like.
I was wrong; one of the buckets does not have electricity, but the second one does appear to ration electricity, as the room looked dark without it. Then, Wonka's elevator came crashing down in the Wonka home.
Other then him doing nothing wrong here is a good counter argument of the old grandpa.

Inside the life of Augustus gloop. Verruca salt character was performed best in the firstrendition of Willy, Wonka and the chocolate factory. In today’s currency, they at least spent $700,000 worth of candy bars. Not to mention if the workers are going to work from dawn to dusk, they are all doing overtime whatever the standards were in the United Kingdom. Considering verruca salt, almost Got them to work on nights. Whatever a 1 pound bonus in their pay packet wonder if that means per hour ? Perhaps they were all given a raise or at least a bonus after the golden ticket 🎫 was found in the candy bar. Considering the father didn’t have a backbone at least toward his children anyway, I can imagine that he has a character was nice and doesn’t give me the qualities of a bully. So I can imagine it would be beneficial for the workers to find this golden ticket. wonka.fandom.com/wiki/ScrumdiddlyumptiousAlthough it’s not mentioned in the book, I recall, I could imagine that a scrumdiddlyumptious bar could still appear in Charlie and the chocolate factory movie universe. Perhaps Charlie helped invent the new scrumdiddlyumptious bar. At the bottom here is a crazy fan theory!!

Going to say something here, the past 3 post you posted more YouTube clips then there is discussion, lets not do that, i allowed this thread because i toughed it would be interesting to see members responds to What if Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was real? but now i see more YouTube clips and the last one, Why SNOWPIERCER is a sequel to WILLY WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY proves to me that this thread is at the end of the track of discussions, i will allow this thread to remain open but i want to see discussions between members, otherwise let it sleep ore i will close it.

I wonder how Augustus Gloop will be like in 2019? I think he'd be sick because of his eating habits.
All those wasted chocolates from Veruca's nut business could feed a lot of people.
