His parents or grandparents convert from Judaism, change whatever names they have that may sound jewish and abandon their jewish identity completely so that they're nowhere near as affected by antisemitism, decreasing the motivation for Genndy's father to move from the USSR to america.

Okay, what is this thread about, if he stayed in Russia he is a Russian among many millions of Russians, looking at the person him moving to America changed everything, staying in Russia is not going to make him special as he grows up there. |

Becuase that would mean that despite him staying in Russia he would have the same track as he would in the United States. If he stays in Russia he would likely end up being a dentist like his father ore maybe become a teacher like his mother, he would join the Soviet Army as a conscript. If you check his Wikipedia artile you read this: Before coming to the United States, his family moved to Italy. There, Tartakovsky was first drawn to art, inspired by a neighbor's daughter. Not going to Italy first means he does not come into contact with the neighbor's daughter who inspired to art. |

Russian cartoons are mostly unheard of in the West. The same principle how Russian films (or other films aside from those in Europe, South Korea, Japan, and India) are virtually unknown aside their respective regions. |

He can make them but just for russians Going to say this only once more, nobody would know of him regardless if he made Russian cartoon in the West and also that it is very highly unlikely he would even make cartoon if he grew up in Russia as his life path would be different then OTL. |
