You're going having to spell it out and bring out the specific lines from your two posts on that page where you somehow specify that the Japanese can force a decisive battle on their terms up through 1937, but then lose that ability from 1938. I'm not catching it on that page. Plenty of other good information and argumentation though. I think if you look at the logistics posts and the fleet problems post you will see exactly why the USN was in no position to fight the IJN betweenj 1933 and 1937. The short of it; if it is TLDC, is that (1) the USN has no tanker support until the 1937 build programs and (2) the early 1930s IJN has not gone stupid in planninmg with its frittering its fleet across a dozen different operations and objectives like they will do from January to June 1942. They intended to fight as a combined fleet close to their main base at Truk / Chu'uk after their attack on the Philippines. The USN has to come to them. That is the kind of geography, logistics and numbers game, where Kantai Kessen actually works for them. Midway in reverse.
