America had Robert Goddard and his team and numerous other rocketry and atomic specialists in the 1940s as well.

America had Robert Goddard and his team and numerous other rocketry and atomic specialists in the 1940s as well. But the German rocket scientists plus a lot of V-2 rockets the American as part as Operation Paperclip got in OTL help also. |

Oh, you're going with what Harris did, the empty V4 as a "look what we can do." Okay, that's far more doable... but I expect to see America ramping up its own missile tech as a result. Or at least some kind of reaction to this. But without Von Braun and his guys the United States will lag behind the Third Reich and their rocket program, other hand i think the United States is ahead with the nuclear program. Sure. But America isn't going to sit there with the threat of nuclear hellfire raining down on their cities. |

Well the United States will thus also build a lot more long range bombers compared to the Germans. |
