Following a series of penalties, the revised top 8 are:
1 Lando Norris (McLaren)
2 Oscar Piastri (McLaren)
3 Lewis Hamilton (Ferrari)
4 George Russell (Mercedes)
5 Lance Stroll (Aston Martin)
6 Yuki Tsunoda (Red Bull)
7 Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes)
8 Pierre Gasly (Alpine)
Really quite annoying that this keeps happening >_< .

One driver impressed me a bit, after doing the opposite for so long....
Lance Stroll started 16th, and ended up 6th.
He does deserve a lot of the hate he gets, but he can obviously drive in the rain.
Wet weather does take some advantages away from the better cars, and evens the field somewhat.

Interesting that Bearman managed to get from 20th to 8th. Mind you given some of the names missing from the top 8 I suspect there were some incidents or malfunctions. |

I think you mis-understood. I gathered that from the points, 8 to 1 for 1st to 8th. What I meant was that since Bearman came from so far behind and there were a number of big names not in the top 8, most noticeable Max that probably they had some problems which knocked them down.
I see that I missed Knyg's comment that things changed because of penalties applied to various people which didn't affect the top three but did hit a number of others, including Bearman so he ended up without any points.

It does sound like he's frustrated. They haven't preformed that well and there was the cock up a couple of races back which led to him being heavily penalized.
I think also he knows he can't have much long at the top and he really wants that last title but its looking more and more distant at the moment. While Mercedes seem to be doing markedly better. |

Well, for all the talk of "Verstappen vs. Norris", Piastri seems to be running away with this! I wonder how long that'll continue.
As for Hamilton - yeah, his move to Ferrari isn't going to plan. Given his age and lack of success, it wouldn't be surprising if he retires at some point in the near future.
