Interesting TL. Some things don't change of course but others differ. Suspect Kerry could be a one termer but have to see how things deverlop. He has the problem that with a tight election and the Republicans controlling both Houses they can stop him doing things and then charge him with being inactive.

Tbh, the wikibox was not made by me but by one of the people reading the TL, fjihr. It does look pretty good.
Kerry could well be a one-term President, and he faces lot of challenges. If he handles them right he has a chance. There will be similarities to OTL but also differences. Stay tuned for more.

But many of the things that Kerry faces where what Bush faced in OTL, does this mean that Bush only was elected for a second term because he is a slippery weasel and Kerry is a little bit to honest.

I was talking about Bush's second term. By the end of his first term his approval was around 50%, by his second term it was virtually half that. Iraq, Congress, the economy and more proved very challenging for Bush and likely so for Kerry TTL. Kerry may succeed but there's a good chance he'll fail. You'll have to wait and see.

MITT ROMNEY SETS UP EXPLORATORY COMMITTEE-JANUARY 3,2007
KERRY GIVES 2007 STATE OF THE UNION-JANUARY 23,2007 President Kerry gave his State of the Union address today. On domestic issues, he said he held out hope for 'comprehensive reform' in healthcare and immigration. He called for America to move from foreign oil dependence to renewable, green, sustainable technologies. Kerry also told Congress that 'the only proper course of action in Iraq is a devolution of responsibilities to Iraqi security forces' and said 'the United States does not have an interest in staying in Iraq. It is in the best interests of Iraq and the United States for Iraqis to choose their own future. This is the moment we have been waiting for'. The Republican response was given by New Jersey Senator Thomas Kean Junior. 320 KILLED IN BATTLE OF NAJAF-JANUARY 28,2007

RUDY GIULIANI TO RUN FOR PRESIDENT-FEBRUARY 5, 2007Rudy Giuliani, former New York Mayor, has announced a run for the Presidency. Giuliani is famous for being Mayor during 9/11, and has acquired a special status because of that. He is the frontrunner in polls for the Republican primary and polls evenly with President Kerry, but loses if George W Bush runs. Giuliani is winning over national security conservatives and doing well across the board, despite liberal positions on social issues. Social conservatives are intensifying efforts to draft former President Bush, though Bush has said repeatedly "No, no, no."

NORTH KOREA AGREES TO SHUT DOWN NUCLEAR FACILITIES FOR FOOD,ENERGY-FEBRUARY 13,2007 MITT ROMNEY ANNOUNCES RUN FOR PRESIDENCY-FEBRUARY 13,2007 Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney has announced a run for President of the United States. Romney was an accomplished, center-right governor in Massachusetts, passing the Romneycare healthcare reforms. However he has taken liberal positions on numerous issues(though Romney is trying to move to the right), which turns off social conservatives. Romeny's current standing in national polls is poor but he does well in New Hampshire and could use that as a spring-board to the nomination. 212 CASUALTIES IN BAGHDAD SUICIDE BOMBINGS-FEBRUARY 18,2007 BILL FRIST TO RUN FOR PRESIDENT-FEBRUARY 27,2007 Former Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist of Tennessee is running for President. Frist is a high-profile figure and places second or third in many polls. He declared "We need a leader who can fix Washington" and claimed that because he was part of Washington he can fix it and that he has stood up for conservative principles. His leadership there is a mixed bag however, giving him attention but a lot of negative attention. Frist performs poorly in polls against Kerry and is seen by many as too much of an insider and a partisan figure. However he does better with conservative voters.
