This here is a Gem of Alternate History Story
PARIS 1328 is story were Today Paris falls true Time into Middle Ages This here has 1632 series vibes, but ala French and on You Tube. The maker made allot effort to make this good, also focus on realism and History.
Only disadvantage, its in French language only
Season One: modern Paris adapt to new neighbour: the Kingdom of France
Season Two: Modern Paris vs Pope in Rome.
Season Three: England use the chaos to conquer France, but Paris has last word on that...
Spin-off: Le Retour au Bled de Hassim Djermouni

Looks interesting but too long for me to look at for the moment. Although had a brief look through the opening minutes of the 1st one. Think big problems will be power and food - or lack of in both cases. Depending on whether Paris includes the suburbs or just the core city region but your talking of ~2-3M people or about 8-10 I believe. It could be handy having so many farmers in the city but currently they have no land to farm unless they take it from the down-timers and also none of the equipment they have will work long without spares/fuel and the like. Although there would be a lot of potential knowledge. Another issue might be disease as their going to be hit by a lot and while they will have knowledge and some medicines can the latter be replaced. At least its at the start of the HYW rather than ~25 years later when the plague 1st hits.

But here they are in the past, unless somewhere in the République Paris there is a ammunition factory that can procedure ammunition, but there is always the Musée de l'Armée collection they can empty.

The French are good chemists and they have a lot of churchbells. It is how they won the 100 years war. Modern Frenchmen can just up the ante with 700 years of more advanced artillery theory and practice. Those specific guys are in the Paris Department, and if Meudon France did the ISOT as part of the commune, then BOY is someone going to be surprised. Did I mention Thyssen-Krupp is inside Paris, too? Branch office.

Bell casting is the start basis of most artillery tube technology. Gunpowder chemistry is out of a textbook and Paris department has sulfur, saltpeter and charcoal. Voila.

Think they can make old muskets from wood if needed, the designs they have in museums most likely.
