February 7th
The royal Netherlands military intelligence service inform prime minister Smit that they can not guarantee that a plan in which the Germans or the United States are to declare war With each other without drawing the Japanese empire or the Netherlands into it. He is advised to wait as they believe Germany will do something that will drive the United States to declare war on them. The easiest way to avoid Japan joining the war would probably be to re-open trade With them. Running out of resources for their ambitious military programs was one of the most important reasons why they started the Pacific War in the first place.

Interesting to see this revived. Would have preferred to see the Dutch supporting the allies after the German western offensive if nothing else. Might have been decisive in preventing the fall of France and Belgium and destroying a lot of the German armoured units. It would have exposed the homeland to ground attacks but the Germans had committed pretty much everything they had free to the operation and wouldn't have had a lot spare for such attacks unless they really stripped the garrison in Poland, which might tempt Stalin to move.
Not sure the destruction of the Pearl Harbour attack force would have stopped the Japanese, both because so much was already in operation and also they will be desperate for fuel in a situation which is only likely to get worse.

Not revived but re-posted, mostly because the Kingdom of the Netherlands : a alternate star trek timeline AH.com thread is death and the other hand is that the wiki where it has been posted on has decided to end the its service, thus i decided to re-post it here in all its glory.

Having gone on an editing spree to make Roel's posts more readable, I have: - killed a lot of unnecassery commas and Spaces. - fixed far to many grammar and spelling mistakes. - fixed a lot of wrong uses of who and which. - reclassed the Wolf-Class from scout vessels to corvettes. - Included the T-25 tank destroyer among the Dutch Inventory. - Made Dutch diplomats a bit more socialable. - Used a lot of acronyms to replace the full name of some organisations. - made the Dutch use their own Language to name Things instead of English.
