A okay, so a neutral Turkey like Sweden, toughed because they where surrounded by the Warsaw Pact and rivalry with Greece they would see NATO as a good protection. Well it could go either way. It would depend on how the Turks, especially their leadership feel and also how willing the western powers are to defend them and the Soviets and their puppets to harass them. For instance I can see a lot more support for the Kurds coming in this scenario. It could end up that Turkey hunkers down and gets substantial western garrisons to help them or they end up like Finland or Yugoslavia OTL, a nervous armed neutrality to avoid clashing too much with Moscow.
Turkey could end up becoming West Germany of OTL, Germany here in this TL is in a much stronger position and thus not need to have major American, British troop present in the country as it only faces Poland.

Interesting concept for an AH, but given the synopsis, I doubt I would read it.
I realize for history to be 'alternate' some things have to be different and different decisions have to be made. But I think this might be a bit of a stretch. The western Allies turned down an offer for peace if the Germany Army could keep fighting in the east. I can't see why they would not make the same decision in this scenario. And I absolutely cannot see the Atomic Bomb being used without testing first. It seems like a good amount of 'handwavium' to get things as the author wanted, which simon checked off, as well.
Thanks for sharing, though; as I sad interesting concept.
Regards,

Duh what?? That sounds totally insane considering how many men were on especially the fleet carriers and the cost of them. Unless you mean he had carrier based raids to try and lure out the remaining Japanese a/c, especially kamikazes? In which case and given how well protected their likely to be as well as operating some way off shore it makes a kind of sense. However likely to see some heavy losses when the occasional kamikazes gets through.

No in the book a commander noticed the Japanese kamikaze planes where hitting the transport ships, so he ordered his carrier and latter other carriers to take the blunt of the Japanese kamikaze hits so the transports could unload their troops.

To do that they would probably have to run the carriers close inshore to temp the kamikazes and that is likely to lead to very heavy USN losses. I could see a courts martial rapidly following as well as probably still the failure of the invasion as your going to lose a hell of a lot of your air cover for the following operations.

Well you can do in books what commanders would never do in real life.

Oops, that is not good. Sounds like the author wants an early WWIII.
