What if Martin Luther King had not been tragically murdered fifty years ago today.? The POD is James Earl Ray is arrested when he and his brother robbed a bank on July 13, 1967. Dr King's new focus would have been on fighting poverty. He would have stirred new controversy as an advocate for a government jobs program to insure a guaranteed annual income. The doctors who performed his autopsy said the 39 year old Dr. King had the body of a 60 year old. So I assume he would have died of natural causes circa 1978.
