Can you give us more to this idea of yours to generate discussion?
Why does TR stay out in 1912? Does he do anything instead of running for the White House such as endorsing another candidate?

Wait 2012, do you not mean 1912. A Freudian slip. Taft shares the same philosophy as Roosevelt int his scenario and does not go with establishment in this scenario. In that case I suspect Taft would win but, if WWI occurs and depending on how Taft's government responds to that you could see a Democratic win in 1916 on a platform including isolationism and less government involvement in the economy. |
