Has anyone here ever played any of the 'Tycoon' series of business simulation games? I've played quite a few of these myself; I think this is the full list: - Railroad Tycoon (2 and 3): RRT2 is one of my favourite games of all time: even though it's over 20 years old now, I still come back to it sometimes . I haven't played RRT3 in a while, though: it was good, but never quite replaced RRT2 in my heart.
- RollerCoaster Tycoon (1, 2 and 3): I played the heck out of the first two games, and I still go back to RCT2 every now and then. Once again, I thought RCT3 was good, but it never managed to get me to put down RCT2.
- Zoo Tycoon 2. I only played this a bit; it was mostly my sister who was into this.
- Monopoly Tycoon. I only played this once or twice .
I should also give a shout-out to Marcel Vos: an excellent RCT2 YouTuber, who has created some crazy contraptions in the game. Most famously, he's built a roller coaster that takes 12 years to complete a circuit :
So, who else has played these?

Yeah, I still have all three of the games. I never play RCT1 any more, though, since RCT2 is basically just a better version of it .

Yeah, I remember that. I didn't use the fireworks very often, though: I never got the hang of making a decent show . Of course, RCT2 had 'fireworks' of its own - in the form of crashed trains and dead guests .

In the opening post, I shared "12 Years of Suffering": a roller coaster which takes 12 real-life years to complete.
That was impressive; however, Marcel has found a way to improve on it.
Get ready for "45 Years in Hell":

I just hope Marcel hired a mechanic. Because, if the coaster breaks down, it could take even longer than 45 years!!!

The price to ride that coaster must be very high, also waiting 45 years in a line so you can ride 45 years is truly a dedication to going to a amusement park.

I don't think I'd ride that coaster if you paid me . At the very least, you'd have to pay guests what they would have earned had they worked for those 45 years. The minimum wage for over-25s in the UK is £8.21 per hour. If you assume that each person works 240 days a year, and 8 hours per day, then 45 years of that would be (8.21 * 8 * 240 * 45) = £709,344. So, yeah. If someone's going to pay me £700,000 to spend 45 years in Hell, then I'll consider it...

Not a Tycoon version, but a modern take on ridding so many years on a coaster.

If you thought "45 Years in Hell" was fun, then how about exploding mini golf?
