President Nixon entered the hospital for treatment of pneumonia on July 16, 1973. What if we make his health worse and have him die? Vice President Spiro Agnew would be sworn in as President.
He would fire the US Attorney of Maryland and end the investigation of him. Federal prosecutors would talk to the press and a major scandal would emerge.
The House and Senate Judiciary Committees would investigate President Agnew’s bribery and tax evasion.
After Nelson Rockefeller was confirmed as Vice President in October, the House Judiciary Committee would begin impeachment hearings. Articles of Impeachment were approved November 3-4. 1973.

She did not call on ambulance. She called a friend. The friend came over. The friend then called an ambulance.
ITTL they would not be alone. As a former President, Rockefeller would have Secret Service protection. I assume Secret Service agents know CPR. I know they would have called an ambulance right away. With faster medical help Rockefeller survives.
There has been gossip that Rockefeller was cheating on his wife with the assistant. This has never been confirmed. She has dodged the press for 40 years. If the Secret Service agents saw them schtooping, it could have leaked to the press.
This TL would change the history of President Carter’s defeat. I assume the 1976 defeat would have ended Reagan’s political career. There is still a recession and a hostage crisis in 1980 ITTL. George HW Bush wins the 1980 election.
