I must admit after the 1st few episodes he always grated with me. However definitely an interesting plot with a rival Doctor/Alternative Universe or someone's got memory problems.
It sounds like they might be giving the Daleks a rest in this series if their making a big play of the Cybermen. Which is probably a good change depending on how they implement it.

Was referring to a certain captain who appeared in the episode, but a alternate Doctor was also a nice idea to see.

I've just finished binge-watching 20 episodes of a show called Snowfall. It's set in Los Angeles in 1993 as crack arrives. There's the link there with the CIA funding the Contras and a wealth of characters as their lives change. That was series 1 & 2. I'm going to watch series 3 but only after a gap... because I might have square eyes at the minute.

Another TV series binged: The Capture. Quite the conspiracy story and an unexpected good ending. Complicated but worth watching.

Three mini-series I have binge-watched in the past few days.
Collateral: British TV murder/conspiracy. It wasn't very good despite a lot of promise. Unbelievable: Excellent piece of TV. Really good. A subject not for all but a fine work. When They See Us: Another good show with a powerful message. However, I do feel the Trump stuff was overdone and only there because he is the current president.
