   Ouch that is likely to be divisive to put it mildly. Plus within 6-7 months he's likely to face a serious fiscal disaster. Even if he's so inclined to do something like a New Deal approach without the actual experience of how bad the depression would become is going to met a lot of opposition from Congress and elsewhere.  Strongly suspect he will be a one term President.

Not to mention that the midterms would be absolutely horrendous for the Dems. Question is, who would the Republicans run in 1932, meaning who will become the next President?

  Might Hoover try again?  He could claim that since he had won the popular vote he had a lot of support to call upon and think he was well-regarded for his relief work after WWII while he hasn't had the OTL disaster of failing to handle the depression - at least not yet anyway.

I don't think he would be interested. He seems like the type of person to accept defeat and move on. He could run for Governor of California, however, or run for Senate in 30 or 32. I think he would more or less support fresh faces, like Ted Roosevelt Jr, William Moseley Brown, Patterson, or Fess instead.
