  While browsing Youtube I came across this proposal.  As suggested it would be a huge project and cause a lot of problems.  However wondering what people think of it.  Put it here as I think weird is probably the best description but if you want it somewhere else Lordroel then please move it.

  Then you shouldn't have hidden them on Youtube.

  I think the idea of draining a lot of the region would be impractical. Apart from the fact it would cause additional stress on the damns as they would have less support due to the reduced water within them.  Also it would cause some serious problems as they mentioned in terms of disruption of sea trade between the N Sea states and the rest of the world.  As such I think we don't need to fear Dutch invaders sneaking in across the new Doggerland.

  Either way as noted expect Russia to be very opposed to the idea. 

  It would be a huge project and building damns of that size and several 100m deep especially along the Norwegian trough is going to be extremely expensive and politically very explosive.  Plus the potential problems if/when any part of the damn structure was to fail.  [Either naturally or by hostile action!]  Plus as it mentions there would be huge environmental impacts on the waters involved.
