I'm still waiting what would become of Bato, Sinas, and Jovito Palparan. I could see the become part of Tadiar's inner circle of police and military officers. I have read too that the Philippines in this TL has become a cesspool of disgruntled personnel coming from Turkey, Azerbaijan, South Africa, Rhodesia, and whatever despot is out there. Palparan, as I might have said already, is in Tadiar's inner circle. I could also see Debold Sinas holding a major military post, and in fact, I could also see him entering Tadiar's inner circle as well. Bato on the other hand, I could see him leading either this TL's version of CAFGU, or he could even work for Philippine intelligence. Also, if we might cover the African update in the future, you may also see despots from Central Africa who are deposed make their way into the Philippines.

I bet you'd see many Rhodesians and South African mercenaries among these. Tadiar would gladly hire them to "slot floppies" (in this case the NPA) without rules.

True, and in fact, the South Africans of TTL has already established their own PMCs in the Philippines (though they're claiming that it's an Indonesian company).
The next update though, I will have to look up and research Africa in the 1990s, since I know nothing about them. Plus, we still need to cover Ross Perot's victory, and the foundation for the reunification of the Union State of Ukraine and Belarus with Russia.

I wonder what would be the fate of Nelson Mandela and Robert Mugabe in this timeline. Maybe perhaps Mugabe would get couped earlier than OTL.

Mandela, he's already dead. Mugabe, I will look into the coup that almost toppled him IOTL.

That might be addressed at some point in the future, although there is a hint of Uzbekistan electing a communist leadership in TTL’s 2007.

I'm wondering if the Balangiga Bells issue would be resolved here. I'm guessing since Kemp is friendly towards the Tadiar regime, Kemp is more willing to have both bells returned.

Most likely, or the Balangiga Bells might be returned in the 2000s. The Tadiar regime wouldn't bounce back economically until say, the mid 2000s, and by the time they're ready to receive the Balangiga Bells, sanctions should have been lifted.

Some small good stuff for the people of Samar who fought a century-long legal battle just to get it back. On the other hand, I saw this map of the Rhodesian diaspora around the world. Could be of use for your timeline. http://instagram.com/p/CEI0rRDg140 〈insert pop-up content here〉

Thanks for the gold mine. I'm thinking that the next update should focus more on Africa, now that we're going to visit Zaire, or the larger Congo, in this case. Also, we could take a look at what's happening to South Africa, after their civil war was over, and the exodus of the white population there. I would think that the White Rhodesians would have made it to either Australia, the UK, or even the US. The Deep South is about to get a lot of these Rhodesians and Boers though.

Yeah the Deep South would love to work with the Rhodesians and South Africans. While not all Rhodesians are racist, the idea of a white-majority ruled state even though how short it was did garner stream among white supremacists/white nationalists in the southern United States. It's the reason why Rhodesian symbols such as the flag and coat-of-arms has a stigma of being a racist symbol in par with the Confederate flag or the Nazi flag. It did not help that the Charleston mass shooter in 2015 both had the Rhodesia flag and the Union of South Africa flag on his jacket. Some veterans of the Bush War would probably like to end up as mercenaries in Malaysia (which fought a communist insurgency in OTL 1989) or Tadiar's Philippines which has nearly eradicated the NPA at this period. The Philippine junta would be more than willing to let these Bush War vets do the dirty work against the NPA.

Yeah, and the fact that we might also see the Bush War veterans re-enacting the Bush War in the Philippines, albeit as PMC mercenaries, will add the total death rate to insane levels. Plus we have an earlier Charlottesville-esque clashes in the ATL Roanoke Massacre, which is basically a mixture of the Charlottesville Riots with the OTL 2014 Odessa clashes. We will also see how the Rhodesians and white South Africans are influencing the 1998 Texas Gubernatorial Election as well, and maybe perhaps the other Gubernatorial elections too.

I will have to address that in another OMAKE soon, but Africa will be the next update.
