YouTube (Warhammer40k]Death korps of krieg) No longer available on my end, I'm afraid. ----- So, original fanfic idea: I’ve been thinking up a story casting the Machine God as a Warp entity, at least in a roundabout sense. Basically, it takes and builds on the idea that, while the Void Dragon may have kickstarted the Cult Mechanicus by being the “original” Machine God, the Tech-Priests’ collective belief made their superstitions a reality within the Warp. Which, over ten-thousand years later, gave rise to a long-gestating entity that can indeed be considered the Machine God. Albeit, one much more conducive to humanity’s interests than the Void Dragon could ever be. While I didn’t come up with the theory myself, there are some details I’d like to “shade in.” Seeing as technology and scientific knowledge have existed since the dawn of civilization, perhaps the Omnissiah would’ve been “gestating” for many millennia, much like how a baby grows in their mother’s womb. With the advent of the Cult Mechanicus, its final form has started to take on a definite shape, one that corresponds more to the Tech-Priests’ expectations than that of the Necrons or human colonists from the Dark Age of Technology, for example. Although a Warp deity that lacks a form (or nature) comprehensible to mortal minds, perhaps the Machine God—also known as the Omnicog, the Great Gear, the Machine in the Warp, and upwards of a hundred-thousand other aliases across the galaxy—is best visualized as a colossal mass of gears and sprockets, replete with an array of computer terminals, conveyor belts, and mechanical tendrils flowing from its body. A single red eye sits in the middle of its gargantuan central cog, which continuously focuses in and out on whatever Omnicog has turned its gaze to. In short, imagine a mountainous Klinklang (the final form of the gear Pokemon, Klink), give it a color scheme that weds Martian red with a mix of silver and gold trim, and add other machines to its physique, and that’s more or less a decent depiction of the Machine God. (At least, as much as can be expected, given its nature as a Warp entity.) It dwells in the middle of an endless expanse of factories known as The Foundry-Scape, the likes of which put Mars to shame infinity times over. Much like the Forge Worlds of the Materium, however, its assembly lines work ‘round the clock to mass-produce the Omnissiah’s armies, comprised of Daemon Engines and robotic foot-soldiers—known as Warpbots—vaguely similar to the Iron Men of ages past. But for now, the Great Gear waits, keeping a low profile as it prepares for an all-out surprise assault on a galaxy in turmoil. The Dark Gods, the Void Dragon, even elements of humanity who don’t convert to its gospel of computation and cold, mechanical logic shall be cleansed from existence—with the Adeptus Mechanicus its foremost adjunct in the Materium, much to the obliviousness of a distracted Imperium. Of course, the Tech-Priests’ formal induction into the Great Gear’s service won’t come without cost, as a significant minority will face tests of faith, ranging from disappointment at how the Machine in the Warp doesn’t precisely conform to their expectations, to outright rejection of them as a Warp-based imposter no better than the Dark Gods, and so on and so forth. There may even be a few who insist that the true Omnissiah is of neither the Materium nor the Warp, but a completely transcendent force whose miracles are obscured by the tide of bloodshed and odious magics that pockmark the Galaxy. In any case, the Omnicog and its disciples have marked these “Hereteks” for death, as there can be no doubt that they are the rightful Machine God whom the Tech-Priests of Mars have worshipped for so long. So, yeah. That’s how I’d depict the Machine God, assuming I run with the theory that the Tech-Priests’ collective belief eventually gave rise to a corresponding Warp God, as opposed to the Void Dragon being the only thing capable of filling that role. I can also imagine quite the rivalry between the two, as C’tan and Warp God alike pit their proxies against one another, as the Second Age of Strife roars to life around them.

Obviously, I'm fascinated by the idea of the Machine God as a Warp entity that needed time to fully form, even if the Void Dragon is the candidate most 40K fans look to first. Having a rivalry between Warp God and C'tan for the title has potential, I think.

Both Fantasy and 40k versions of Chaos are so OP
Fantasy Chaos would corrupt Warcraft. 40k Chaos would devour Legends Star Wars.

30k x Star Wars Legends: Chaos in both Universes
Early on in the Great Crusade the Warp and Chaos Gods took notice of a Universe far, far away. They focused on the Star Wars Universe.
Suddenly in Star Wars, Countless Galaxies experience Warp Storms, Rifts to the Immaterium and other Anomalies. The Great Rift occurs in The Galaxy, the Warp and its Daemons devoured or corrupt everything.
Far away in another Galaxy the Yuuzhan Vong pledge themselves to the Dark Gods, the first SW inhabitants to do so, especially voluntarily.
In half-a-century the vast majority of Star Wars Legends Universe has fallen to Chaos. The Daemons and corrupted denizens of Star Wars invade other Universes while waiting for their Dark Messiah to rally them to invade the Warhammer Galaxy and Universe...
...that Messiah was Warmaster Horus whom has started the Horus Heresy. Daemons and Warped-Mortals of Star Wars flock to his banner, vastly augmenting the numbers and powers of the Traitors
The stubborn Loyalists at Isstvan III were quickly slaughtered by Angron, the World Eaters and the Hordes of Khornate Vong, Trandoshians and Wookies.
Stripped of the Force but greatly enhanced by the Ruinious Powers the massive Chaos Sith-Jedi Hordes attack Sanginius and the Blood Angels right after Signus Prime. The Hordes are wiped out but not before killing 95% of the Legion and severely wounding their Primarch.
The Alpha Legion fighting Russ and his Space Wolves were aided by several Chaos fleets from Star Wars. They still lost but the Wolves lose 4/5th of their Legion.
At Phall the Iron Warriors fleet is bolstered by a massive armada of Daemonships and various Chaos-corrupted SW Warships/Droidships. Pollux and his IF fleet is massacred.
Typhus acquires the Thulchulcha Engine before the Lion does thanks to Nurgle Daemons from Star Wars. Dark Angels lose 3x the Marines the Night Lords did on Thramas.
At Tallarn the massive Iron Warriors Legions + various Auxilaries easily overwhelm the defenders and find the Cursus of Alganar. Entire Grand Companies transformes into Obliterators, Warp Talons or Possessed while Perturabo ascends to Daemonhood.

Chaos is very OP in Warhammer 40k and should have won Eons ago
Chaos could have easily persuades the Necrontyr to worship them in exchange for longer, maybe eternal, lives! Chaos Necrontyr then exterminate the Old Ones!
(I believe Be'lakor was a low-life Necrontyr)
Khorne Orks are still Canon thanks to the novella 'A Bloodied Rose' back in 2017. Imagine if Khorne coruppted a Prime-Ork from the Beast Ork War!
Nat Turner could be a Sorcerer whom summons Daemons! His slave rebellion would have been successful!!!
