Having watched the movie about a week ago my mind has been on what if they were in the Star Wars universe. The setting for this is the closing days of the Clone Wars but before Order 66 happens. How would the Jedi and Sidious react to the aliens seen in the movie? It is implied they were being sent to some planet but landed on Earth so somebody was moving them around so we'll just say they are from some world unknown in the Star Wars galaxy.

Think they are nothing compared to the Yuuzhan Vong. Sure but they were able to effectively eradicate the humans from the surface of the Earth and if I recall the time jump was 20-30 years later so if it were to happen now it would be around the 2040-2050s. So Earth should have over nine billion people remove in a matter of a few years. Plus that was one ship. We have no reason to cap it at one ship. The Yuuzhan Vong were post-Empire from what I can tell. This is pre-Empire. No reason to even be thinking about them here.

My thoughts on this what-if is that maybe a ship crash lands or somebody drops them on some backwater planet and starts killing its people. The Jedi hearing this sends a few and that's how they get off-world and into the wider galaxy. The queen knew what the humans were doing so they wouldn't be a mindless mob of massive white killers.
A few worlds hit by them and I could easily see them killing a good bit of the galaxy. Clone troops will be sent of course as would the Jedi but if the queen lives more would be born.

Honestly the aliens in that movie seemed more some attack beast, something that it send too soften the military and the population while the real attack forces strikes; they have suceeded on earth because we are a backwater planet with primitive weapon
