  That looks very interesting.  Now I only need to find the time and energy to read it.

I’m almost done. Interesting argument, whilst not really controversial for today as compared to the early 90s. Heavy guns used well won battles and the war is the short version, with it taking until 1917 to get the guns produced in the right amounts and the munitions supply chain fully functioning. This figure of ~ 30 months corresponds with my research on the matter.
