With 2021 just about over and 2022 set to begin, Skippy has decided to give us a holiday gift we’ll never forget. On January 1st, 2022, every Alternate Timelines member transforms into their avatar and is given a choice: 1. Remain on Earth and be on the run from the authorities for the rest of your days, depending on how things go. 2. Live in a fictional universe of your choosing, with the caveat that it’s in the appropriate “sweet spot” between easy and challenging for your avatar. For example, Skippy will decline if you’re Q and request to be sent to Battlestar Galactica since you’d get your way far too easily, and so on and so forth. In addition, Skippy also creates an inter-dimensional messaging system and video chat for us to communicate using devices that resemble Titans Communicators, but are equipped with the capabilities of smartphones and none of the maintenance (i.e. apps and internet access). Thank you in advance, Zyobot 1) sorry to disappoint but if taken to the place of my Avatar i'm in La-La Land; my nation males find this the ultimate way of living for a male and my already high status - locally - for being born in the North of Greenland will soar as I'm of Hunters stock. You might call it the locally cheered aristocracy and what they dream of attaining. If remaining in my present location I have to find a way to secure the rifle untill I'm able to take it into its ideal lands would be sightly bothersome but of course leads to 2) which would of course be 1) however I sense Skippy wouldn't like it too much so might sendt me some place back or farward in time. Well will have to chrash learn to reload rounds or make me some basic hunting tools. My teachers always expected that to be the least of my problems..

What about your avatar, though? I imagine a cartoony guy with white hair and sunglasses would stand out among realistic, 3D humans. Could be, if i go outside it is, maybe i will stay indoor forever. You’ll still need groceries and to work, though, among other things… —— Myself, I’m not sure wherever is best to be sent. As a Necron, I’m a nigh-indestructible killing machine with a body of living, rapidly regenerating metal. Not to mention how shots from my Gauss Flayer will literally atomize my various targets. At one point, I imagined Star Wars as my ideal universe, but then you get all problems of the real world applied to a whole galaxy. So, maybe I’ll pick a more innocuous, cartoony setting and go with Battle Force 5 or something. There, I won’t be considered a total freak, though the fact I can return to Earth on occasion—albeit, a fictionalized version of it—may be nice. |
