Let me lead off with a very bitter one.
This is possibly the worst case in US history. The traitor's damage still is ongoing.

The mind of Raymond Spruance.
Some people think the United States Navy did and does not know what it is doing. This should disabuse some folks. The Royal Navy should have sent people to our war college. They might have done some things differently in their war in the Mediterranean.

The failure at Jutland was a failure to appreciate Mahan. The British hung up on Julian Corbett, did not appreciate that "decisive battle" in the Mahanic sense, as the American admiral Sims instantly recognized, was the emergent U-boat threat and the power that backed it. The Battle of Jutland and the strategic mistake the British made there, marked the date of their downfall as the greatest world power. One can observe that this mistake is in progress today.

This one is fascinating, thanks a lot!

The British got themselves into trouble over this one. This is a frank mix of truth and fiction. The British actually did have problems with recruitment and they did kidnap Americans.

How the Franco-Americans almost outwitted the British at sea. Chicken-salad execution bollixed an excellent opportunity to wreck Royal Navy logistics.

There is a reason that USN destroyermen call this guy their patron saint. Alonzo Cushing, his brother, was no shrinking violet either. Alonzo got the Medal of Honor for his defense of the Angle at the Gettysburg from President Obama about 2014. It took that long because of stinking Unreconstructed Confederate politics. As for Will Cushing, what do we make of him? Then that maniac went ahead and wrecked the CSS Albermarle. The date is October 27, 1864. That is the United States Navy. He died in Washington D.C. in 1874 at the age of 32 years. If he had lived, he would have been one of our great admirals, and I mean a GREAT admiral, because he reminds me very much of this man.

A lot of British people will not like this presentation of Horatio at all. An American perspective this analysis is of the man; for distance of time and a hardheaded perspective of what actually happened, allows it.
