Here's another super weird one: "WI Scientific Laws Became Self-Aware?" or something to that effect. I've also come up with some similar prompts involving whole fields and disciplines (i.e. math, business, etcetera) actually gaining minds of their own. If this were to happen without initial warning, I wonder if we'd eventually take notice of what's occurring.
...These are some damned weird ideas of mine, I know.

...These are some damned weird ideas of mine, I know. Well that is why this thread is called the frivolous ASB thread, so you can post them here. To some extent, that's how all ASB scenarios appear to be, at least the ones I've come across. The sorts of ideas that are too frivolous to make into full-blown threads, though, tend to be the weirdest of the bunch IMO. As for my latest contribution, "WI Lordroel Became God?". I imagine there's a great deal you'd do to change the world as it is now if you had that kind of power at your beck and call, but it's not my place to pry. Even then, it'd probably still belong in Politics and Current Affairs due to how...much of the current status quo might be affected by such alterations. If I were suddenly awarded with godhood, much the same could be said of me, but likely in the broad strokes only. Turning my fantasies about an "Intergalactic Ancapistan" into reality would be among the first few items on my list, after fixing the state of the modern world of course. I'd also crash more than a few parties in the Star Wars, Star Trek, Warhammer 40K, DC and Marvel universes, to name some fictional works I follow off the top of my head. There'd be others for me to screw around with, certainly.

Hmm, it seems I'm one of the few routine posters here in this thread. Anyways, here's another one that I just came up with: "20th Century Big Three TV Networks React to 2019 News Media". This is the sort of thread that definitely deals in a Politics and Current Affairs-appropriate topic(s).

What if starting in 2019, everything that animators drew came to life? Somehow, I imagine innumerable copies of the same character popping into existence due to how many separate individual depictions of them would exist.
This scenario could also very well be the road to dictatorial crackdowns on free expression to keep the situation under control, which makes it way less magical and fun that it otherwise might be. That ignores the fact that far more...evil characters would now be in a position to wreck havoc in the real world. Yay.

WI: Skippy the ASB forced the Free French to adopt the 'Allo 'Allo tv theme as their fighting song/national anthem? At least Skippy has the decency to only force the Free French to adopt the 'Allo 'Allo tv theme as their fighting song/national anthem and not use his powers to make the French resistance to become what we can see in the series, its a miracle the Allies still manged to land in France with everything that happen in the series.

Well since its only the FF then one effect would probably be no political career for de Gaule post-war as he would be too much of a laughing stock. At least if the French realise how much they were being mocked by this. Mind you if they did that you could see another Anglo-French war as they would be rightly offended.
Possibly Skippy, or another frivolous/malicious ASB was responsible for such a load of crap to be produced and then become popular in the 1st place? Much prefer the great programme it made a mockery of.

Makes me wonder, could we place Dads Army, Allo Allo and It Ain't Half Hot Mum in the same universe.

Possibly. They both have the same idea of ridiculing certain groups, although at least with Dad's Army and It Ain't Half Hot its largely a British programme mocking Britain. Allo Allo basically mocked everybody with pretty primitive stereotypes.

Another frivolous, make fiction-into-fact scenario of mine is "WI Memes Came to Life?". ...Yeah, this wouldn't end well, I just know it.
I was also thinking of sending only modern memes back to the mid/late 20th Century in order to get downtimers' reactions. No games, no videos, no nothing--just memes. And thus, this idea isn't worth implementing, either.
There's also the question of what downtimer reaction videos to post-[insert time period here] might look like, but that can be addressed in the "Time Travel Question: Downtimers on the Internet?" thread if we deign to discuss such at all. I think it's worth talking about, of course, but it's not enough to make into a full-blown thread.

Though, maybe we'd have a chance if we could summon angels or other superpowered fictional forces (i.e. the Avengers or Justice League) to help us wade the Legions of Hell off. Also, I'm no longer stuck at 666 posts now! Yay!
