What if all countries population new main languages became the one who was spoken the lest. Would the second-most popular language take first place, then? Or would it be the once-least spoken language take it instead? The one-last spoken language.

What if Olympus Mons from Mars replaced Mount Everest.

What if Olympus Mons from Mars replaced Mount Everest. Somehow, I've a hunch that some geological destabilization will ensue thanks to a far larger mountain replacing the one that was there before. For starters, the mountain range that Everest was part of will suffer, I can predict that much.

What, the whole mountain range?? Well, that'll wreck all kinds of havoc on the Himalayan ecosystem, won't it?

Well if you have Olympus Mons replace Mount Everest, then yes it is going to wreck all kinds of havoc on the Himalayan ecosystem. especially with Olympus Mons being the picked from Mars and thus has looks like this.

Holy shit. In which case, this looks like a mass-death scenario to me, even discounting the geological chain reaction this would cause.

Why would you assume it is a a mass-death scenario., it would be if Olympus Mons replaced France.

I'm not sure of the sizes but at the least its going to replace a lot of the Tibetan plateau. Also if its centred on our Everest, which is on the China/Nepal border isn't it going to spread south into a good chunk of northern India? That could have a serious effect there, especially if its large enough to block/divert the Ganges. That would be a mass death scenario inside India even without any wider environmental or climatic impact.

Well, mass-death scenario for whatever flora and fauna used to live on Everest or in its vicinity, I mean. Though admittedly, it'd be far worse if Olympus Mons materialized in France, as you've pointed out.

One other factor to be considered. I think Olympus Mons is so high simply because its on Mars with its lower gravity and a mountain can't be that high on Earth. In which case its likely to collapse under its own weight, possibly resulting in a massive outflow of material swamping the surrounding area which could greatly increase the immediate death and destruction. Plus its likely to throw a lot of material into the atmosphere which could have world wide impacts.

Then Zyobot was correct, i created a Mass Death scenario as this could be as bad if a meteor hit earth.
