Well there have been very substantial changes in the Catholic church in those 88 years. Like no longer using Latin for the mass and while still very conservative in most social issues compared to other churches in the west its still a lot more open than its 1933 version.
Also the idea of a non-Italian pope, which hasn't happened for centuries prior to John Paul II, let alone one from Argentina will shock many. I wonder whether there would be a move to replace Benedict as he wasn't elected by the 1933 church. Going to cause some interesting problems and questions.
On the good side you might have an earlier move against clerical child sex abuse but I suspect that the up-timers will either decide that's a battle they can't afford to fight or the down-time church will prevent any real investigation as too shameful for the church's honour to even suggest such matters.
