Option 1. Hot Take:
For each One from Truman to Bush I, consider What if every Cold War POTUS is SI’ed from their last day as POTUS to inauguration day

Option 2. Long Take:
For each President from Truman to Bush, SI them from their last moments of living reasonable memory, and cognitive awareness to their Inauguration Day.

For Truman this is from 1972.
For Eisenhower this is from 1969
For Kennedy obviously nothing changes
For Johnson this is 1973
For Nixon this is 1994
For Ford this is 2006
For Reagan this is some date substantially before his physical expiration in 2004
For Bush I this is 2018
For Carter this is now or honestly could have happened in the last couple years

Option 3. All Cold War Presidents, are SI’ed from the present day- if deceased, their ghosts who have been accurately perceiving history unfold are the consciousnesses that do the SI to Inauguration Day.

Truman ensures the US pretty much wins the Cold War very early and very easily with its Intergrity intact.

The Marshal Plan has more funding and also helps a few Latin, African and Asian nations. Truman blackmails corrupt politicians and rich people to support the MP and 'donate' their own wealth.

South Korea would have an actual democratic leader instead of a dictator plus their troops will be better trained and equipped. There would be US troops already there before the Korean War starts, with Upgrased Sabre Jet Fighters and other vehicles that are more advanced.

The Korean War is a massive failure for the Kim family as Northern forces are obliterated by imprenetrable defensive lines, night-attacks, amphibious landings and surprise flanking attacks. The war ends with the North losing 85% of its territory and no Chinese intervention.

Truman forces the French to let Vietnam be Independent without a fight. Ho Chin Minh cuts ties with the Soviets and Chinese as well as form deep ties with NATO, Vietnam has a stable democratic government with prosopering economy. No Vietnam War or Khmer Rouge.

Truman locates MLK and secretly advises him as well as provide funding. Civil Rights Movement gains a lot of traction much earlier. He convinces Mr Rogers to start his show much earlier.

Truman sanctions the assassinations/coups of MANY Latin American, African and Asian Dictators or prevents their rise to power. Those areas are much more Liberal, Democratic and Prosperous today.

Truman ensures the US spends much less on nukes and more on space as well as social programs. US tech progresses much faster. Soviets spend less on nukes and more on helping their people and space exploration as well.

Truman convinces Eisemhower not to demonize Atheists and put massive regulations on the Military-Industrial-Complex. US has much more Liberal Atheists, much better Economy even during the bad times and much less Mass Shootings

Republikkkan Party never gets any power or any chance to elect Nixon and Reagan as Presidents. Scandal, Arrests and Seizures of their ill-gotten Wealth keeps them marginalize.

He does as much as he can to promote medical advances so that MLK (who doesn't get assassinated by the KKK-Cops), JFK (dies of old age, Albert Einstein and Mr Rogers live longer, healthier lives. Do much more good in the world.

US Economy does not suffer as much during downturns by making big, profitable investments in Third-World Countries that make those nations profitable as well. Truman ensures that the US Government is much less corrupt.

Truman ensures that the US will begin colonization of space during the 2010s, long after his death. Soviet Union still collapses and US reduces military budget by a lot to build new space shuttles to bring a lot of people and material into space.

The Space Colony Truman becomes a UN-joint operation as other nations pitch in so they can send colonists as well. Overtime the Space colonists become the Most Progressive elements of Humanity.
