For East Prussia ore Schleswig-Holstein any Jewish states needs the backing of the Soviet Union, they already have their failed Jewish Autonomous Oblast exmperiment. East Prussia OK, but S-H? As long as it's in a western Allied occupation zone, they can do it. So how many Jews will live there versus how many Germans to kick out like what the Soviets did with Germans in East Prussia. |

Post-WW2, there were about two million Jews living there. After 1948, one more million from Arab countries joined them.

Unfortunately I think the most likely scenario is that in the event the Jews are forced out of the area in an Arab victory is that you could see millions of Jews, not just in Palestine but in Central and Eastern Europe (sans the USSR) and the rest of the Arabic world (if I recall correctly Jews were already starting to be expelled before Israel ever declared independence and this could just empower the Arab countries further to do so anyway) in refugee camps for years or even decades. At this point few countries IOTL were accepting Jews on a large scale before Israel was firmly established and most Jews did not want to be dependent on the mercy of European and other Western powers. Among the rest of the Jews of the world, I can see Orthodox Judaism being more prevalent since anti-Zionism generally is/was stronger than among non-Orthodox Jews and they believed they could not return to Israel until the Messiah came back. These Jews also tended to be more insular than either Reform or Conservative Jews. Either that or extreme assimilation into other societies with mass conversions to other religions, changing their names to hide their Jewish identities, etc. Please correct me if any of this is wrong.

I still don’t think the surviving Jews would want to create a state anywhere near Germany, which S-H neighbors to the north. |
