What If: Back To The Future Animated Series (1991)

Anybody remember that animated "Back To The Future" series from the early 90's?  I sort of do, but vaguely.  I just couldn't really get into it.  It's not like I didn't try, but it just wasn't the same as the trilogy.

Here's a what-if scenario I've had in mind for it:
-For starters, Christopher Lloyd not only plays Doc in the live action sequence scenes where he discusses the episode's plot and the moral of it at the end, but he also voices Doc in the animated scenes as well instead of Dan Castelleneta (Homer Simpson) voicing him.  Dan voices other characters.
-Most of the original cast also reprises their respective roles from the movies including Michael J. Fox as Marty, Lea Thompson as Lorraine, Crispin Glover as George, James Tolkan as Mr. Strickland, Claudia Wells as Jennifer, Marc McClure as Dave (Marty's older brother) and Wendy Jo Sperber as Linda (Marty's sister).
-Mary Steenburgen still reprises her role as Clara and Tom Wilson as Biff and other Tannen characters.

If that happened, do you suppose that would've had any affect on the animated series?  I don't really know.

Can't say I remember it because I never watched. There is a German dub, Zurück in die Zukunft.

But thanks for posting, I liked the movies, part I is among my Top 5.

Back To The Future is my favorite movie.  I've seen is so many times.  My older brother did watch the animated series.

To be honest, I've never really had much desire to watch the animated series. I loved the trilogy, but by the end of it, it didn't leave me wanting more. I thought three films was the ideal place to end it: any more, and it would've felt repetitive.

With that being said: if the original cast had returned, it might have had a bit more of a chance!

Now that I think about it, they probably wouldn't have been able to get Crispin Glover to reprise his role as George because of what happened behind the scenes during filming of BTTF Parts 2 and 3.
