So today it is this day:  While i am a big Star Wars Day, in my country, May the 4th is this day.  So that is the reason i do not take part in May the Fourth be with you day on May 4th. |

Didn't know about the Star Wars May 4 - its our ewe of liberation from German occupation hence why we put lit candles in the windows to celebrate it. Its also a day of remembrance.

I've not come across the idea of May 4th being some sort of silly Star Trek/Star Wars day, not having been onboard with internet pop culture or been into letting an appreciation of a science fiction picture bleed over into real everyday life. Outside of the magnifying glass effect of the internet, most people out on the street won't really care enough to dabble in this; thus, I don't think it is a big deal.

Yeah, entirely understandable that you wouldn't participate. TBH, I don't really do anything either: it was funny the first few times, but eventually, it just got old.
