Did anyone read this book by Susanna Clarke? It is called an Alternate History, but I'm not sure. According to its description, it's set in Regency England where magic is real and magician Jonathan Strange uses it to aid his country in the Napoleonic Wars.
Could be a good story, but I'm not willing to call it AH for this, otherwise e.g. Harry Potter and many other fantasy books set on our Earth would be AH. Temeraire definitely has AH elements (
