Another scenario involving Mongolia, this time it goes even further back in time, to 500 BC.
My initial thoughts - Eurasia is theirs. Whether in China, the Achaemenid Empire or in Europe, there's simply nothing to stop the Mongol horde except perhaps diseases in places like South India and Southeast Asia.
So the main question is - how long does the Mongol rule last and what comes out of it?
I can't but think that it is going to last at least for 200 years, perhaps 300 or 400.
As for what comes out of it - there might be an rarlier analogue of the Silk Road springing up after the Mongol conquest but what are the political or technological consequences of the conquest - I don't know.
Any ideas?

Its going to be nasty for China and a lot of other areas. The Achaemenid might put up a hell of a fight but will probably go down eventually. However sieges might be an issue for the Mongols as they relied on skilled people from conquered nations to build and operate the equipment in such cases and the number of people with such knowledge are likely to be markedly less.
Climate could also be an issue in parts of India and SE Asia and with more limited naval power to call upon from their new subjects Japan and other islands could be fairly safe although not sure how many Japanese as opposed to the earlier Ainu population with at least some sources suggesting that the modern Japanese didn't start arriving until ~300BC which would be after the PoD.
