Mikhail Gorbachev SI into Joseph Stalin 1925

What if on January 1 1925 Mikhail Gorbachev's mind from approx. 1992 was inserted into Joseph Stalin?

By 1992 according to wiki Gorbachev was a social democrat and not a communist anymore.

So what does he do?
In my opinion.
1. He'll try to continue and expand NEP. It gave great results OTL so why ditch it?
2. He'll try to prevent ww2. Do everything to kill Hitler and other top ranking Nazis. If he doesn't manage to do that and either NSDAP or some other far right power rises to power on Germany, he'll do dverything to build a coalition with western powers.
3. The Great Famine snd the Purges don't happen.

Any thoughts?

The NEP may have worked great, but will it still work great when the west goes into Depression, 1929-1931?

Without forced accumulation/requisition of food from the peasants in the countryside, how does Gorby prevent an angry, hungry uprising of urban and industrial workers sick of high food prices or bare shelves? Even if they don’t revolt and topple/purge the Party over the economic ‘scissors’ crisis, how does he motivate the industrial and urban workers to advance industry, especially heavy and defense industry, when they are not making anything the kulaks/peasants want to buy? Everybody will work on small workshops and small farms without improving tech and scale and take long binge drinking weekends with any spare income without a kick in the pants or threat of gulag exile.
