I love the line about the cover story for the bulk of the force. "a cover story that was about as plausible as a certain former Navy SEAL working as a chef onboard the USS Missouri". Very interesting look at the issues that would be presented, both generally and with the values of the period.

To clarify before anyone asks the light AT weapon was a general purpose one that was carried for possible use against helicopters or small motor boats if attackers were using such to try and reach the ship. This was the same idea that lead to the initial defence of the Falklands against the invasion and also I think on S Georgia where they were used against light armoured vehicles, helicopters and even a corvette IIRC.
