Supression of a Revolt
On March of 1199, Richard I would successfully suppress the revolt of Aimar V of Limoges and negotiated an alliance between him and Peter II of Aragon by marrying Eleanor of Brittany to Peter II of Aragon which would be signed in June of 1199 which would cement the alliance between Richard I of England and later Arthur I with Peter II of Aragon and Richard I would concede the disputed lands of Bearn, Comminges, Couserans, Bigorre, Toulouse, Gevaudan, and Carlat to Aragon completely, as part of the dowry of Eleanor of Brittany to Peter II of Aragon to secure an ally against France which would last on the reigns of Richard I and Arthur I of England as long as Eleanor of Brittany lived.
Richard I would secure the hand of Elvira of Sicily who have fled Sicily after being shut in the convent with her mother after the conquest by Henry VI of HRE as the bride of his nephew Arthur, Richard would focus on grooming Arthur as his heir since winning against the revolt of Aimar V of Limoges and did not pay attention to Berengaria that much gaining him the reputation of being Richard the Chaste, he did not want to sleep with Berengaria as trying to sire an heir might be too strenuous for him at this point.
Note:
I have been wanting to write a timeline about a longer surviving Richard I and passing his throne to Arthur of Brittany, I think it would actually make sense that Richard I would ally with Peter II of Aragon against Philip II of France.

Treaty of Le Goulet
Richard I would worry on the betrothal and treaty between Urraca and Louis of France and him and Philip II of France and that Eleanor of Aquitaine should bring Princess Urraca in his court, Eleanor would come to Castile to fetch Urraca only to arrive with Blanche on 1200 as Eleanor of Aquitaine had judged that Blanche is good to be the Queen of France, and not Urraca which would cause her to be the bride of Louis in the Treaty of Le Goulet.
Richard would cede Vexin, Issoudun, Berry, and Graçay part of the as dowry of Blanche of Castile in the Treaty of Le Goulet and promised that he would not intervene with other vassals of France, the Duchy of Aquitaine was not part of the Treaty as it was also held by Eleanor of Aquitaine and also he would secure the status of his Nephew, Arthur as his own heir instead of his brother, John in the Treaty.
Richard I would join his nephew Theobald III of Champagne and Baldwin IX of Flanders on planning the Fourth Crusade after the Treaty of Le Goulet, they would depart on 1202, leaving Arthur I of Brittany and his mother, Constance, and Berengaria of Navarre as regents of the Kingdom of England.

The conversation of Richard I of England and Philip II of France about the dowry of Eleanor of Brittany
In 1201, in the summon or meeting of the peers of France, Philip II would mention to Richard I about the dowry of Eleanor of Brittany to Peter II of Aragon and her marriage to Peter II of Aragon which offended him as he is the lord of the lands that he ceded, he said that the marriage was to settle his issues with Peter II of Aragon and he would make sure that Arthur would be strong and healthy and would be able to serve as the vassal of the King of France and as the King of England.
Philip II France would not like the Dowry of Eleanor of Brittany as it had made Peter II of Aragon another mighty vassal of Philip II of France which his successors would deal with in the future but that is not his own issue as Raymond VI is his vassal and he has to secure him as his own ally against Peter II and Richard I of England in the near future but with the Aragonese Empire and the Angevin Empire being allies as long as Eleanor of Brittany is alive Philip II can do nothing against them.

The Embarkment to the Holy Land
Richard I of England, Theobald III of Champagne, and Baldwin IX would be the leaders of the Fourth Crusade and Richard I would bring his brother John and son Philip of Cognac in the Crusade, with Richard I of England having the funds for the fourth crusade, they would embark to the Kingdom of Sicily directly in the domains of Frederick II of Sicily, Arthur of Brittany's wife Elvira of Sicily's lands are in Sicily which have been confiscated by Henry VI of HRE from Elvira and her sisters who are currently in England which would bring some tension in the Kingdom of Sicily while the Crusaders had passed in Sicily, he would leave the Kingdom of Sicily via Taranto to Epirus, they would arrive in the Kingdom of Jerusalem in the end of 1203 after passing via Greece and Anatolia.
Richard I would meet his Grandnieces, Alice of Champagne and Philippa of Champagne, claimants to the County of Champagne against their uncle Theobald III who is in the Crusade as well but Isabella I of Jerusalem would set aside their differences at this point as the Kingdom of Jerusalem is threatened by the Saracens, she would also betroth her daughter, Marie of Montferrat to Philip of Cognac to reinforce her alliance with her cousin, Richard I of England.

Elvira of Sicily, Queen of England
In 1199 Sybilla arrived in France with her daughters. Constance and Henry had both died shortly after conquering Sicily, leaving the Kingdom to their infant son, Frederick. Sybilla intended for Elvira, her eldest daughter to marry a French nobleman powerful enough to press Elvira's claim on the Kingdom of Sicily against Frederick's regents, Richard I of England would have Sybilla and her daughters go to Richard I's court and Richard I of England would marry Elvira to Arthur I, Duke of Brittany, his own heir.
On 1207, Elvira of Sicily and Arthur I of England would be crowned as King and Queen of England after the death of Richard I and the two would try to have Innocent III recognize their claim, but instead, he would recognize Elvira as the heir to the Fief of Lecce and Taranto and forced them to make homage with Frederick I of Sicily.
Elvira of Sicily would give birth to six children to her husband, Arthur of Brittany, she would bear three sons and three daughters.
Elvira of Sicily would die in her domains of Taranto and Lecce in 1231.
Children of Elvira of Sicily and Arthur I of England
-Henry III of England b. 1205
-Constance of England b. 1207
-Richard II of Aquitaine b. 1211
-Tancred, Count of Taranto, Lecce, and Cornwall b. 1215
-Elvira of England b. 1217

Richard I was married to Berengaria of Navarre in 1191.
Arthur I, Duke of Brittany was anointed heir presumptive by his uncle, Richard I “Cœur de lion” King of England, but Arthur’s wardship was in dispute between Richard I and Philip II, King of France. Richard, fearing Philip’s growing influence over the young boy, since Philip had raised Arthur in his Court from 1196, disinherited his nephew. Richard instead proclaimed John as heir apparent.

The main reason why John was chosen was because Arthur is young and his mother is allied with the French, in this timeline, Richard survives and because Richard survives here, he has a time to make Arthur switch sides since both Constance and John allied with France at times they both have issues, in this timeline Richard survives and makes Arthur his heir choosing to groom him as his own heir.

Eleanor of Brittany, Queen of Aragon
Eleanor of Brittany would have a good marriage with Peter II of Aragon and she would have three pregnancies which resulted in three children surviving infancy with Peter II of Aragon, namely, Infanta Constance b. 1203, Infante James b. 1205, and Infanta Agnes b. 1208 and the marriage resulted in Aragon having complete control of parts of Gascony and claims to Toulouse and have moderated his alliance with Toulouse which caused Peter II to not to assist Raymond VI of Toulouse after his excommunication and thus allowed him to live longer.
Due to the shifts of marital alliance of the Kingdom of Aragon and the fact that Aragon would give the hand of Infanta Sanchia of Aragon to Frederick I of Sicily in 1209, Raymond VII of Toulouse would marry Marie of France in 1214 after swearing an oath that he would not tolerate the Cathars.

Death of Eleanor of Aquitaine
On 1204, Eleanor of Aquitaine would die in Aquitaine which would mean that Richard would now rule it on his own, with Richard bringing John to the Crusade, it would be part of Berengaria and Arthur I of Brittany’s regency of his territories, and they would bring some messenger to the Holy Land who would find Richard to tell the message of Eleanor of Aquitaine’s death, the messenger would arrive in 1205, that was when Richard I learned of his mother’s death.
After learning of his mother in law’s death, Alfonso VIII of Castile would try to claim Gascony as the collateral of the dowry of his wife but with it conflicting with the dowry of Peter II of Aragon’s wife, he would threaten Alfonso VIII of a war unless he would stop claiming Gascony.

Truce of the Crusaders
The Crusaders led by Theobald III and Richard I of England would start to go to Egypt via Sinai and start a war against Al Adil and Richard I of England would give funds for Isabella I of Jerusalem to repair the fortifications of the Kingdom of Jerusalem, with Amalric of Jerusalem being proven being strong, and the succession of Jerusalem being stable, they would be able to utilize the funds given by Richard I of England well in the coming decades on the reign of Amalric II, Isabella’s son.
In Egypt, Richard I and Al Adil would talk to each other and if another truce between the Crusaders and the Saracens would be possible before they would proceed to a peace treaty or another war, they would decide in another Truce with the Crusaders due to the Peace Negotiations of Richard I of England and Richard I would leave his son Philip of Cognac in Jerusalem to be with his betrothed Maria of Montferrat who would be his second wife there.

Richard I’s return from the Crusades
The Fourth Crusade would end in a peace treaty between the Crusaders and the Saracens in 1205 which would mean that the Crusaders would be able to return without casualties due to the negotiation between Al Adil and the Saracens which brought out another truce.
Richard and John would return to England from the Crusades in 1206, now with Arthur having a son from Elvira of Sicily who would in the future be the King of England after Arthur and is the third in line for the throne of England.
Richard would allow John to repudiate Hawise of Gloucester and marry Constance of Sicily, daughter of Tancred, the other sisters of Elvira, Medania, and Valdrade would choose to return to Sicily in 1206.
Richard would meet and Richard would meet Arthur's son with Elvira of Sicily Henry of Nantes who was born in 1205.

The crowning of Arthur I of England
On 1207, Richard I of England would die and Arthur I of England and Elvira of Sicily would be crowned as King and Queen of England and inherited Normandy, Maine, Anjou, Touraine, Poitou, Aquitaine, and Gascony as well, he would style himself also the King of Sicily which would infuriate Innocent III but that is due to his wife’s claim being unsettled at the time which he would negotiate to Innocent III.
Arthur I of England would start the Pension of Queen Berengaria as the consort of Richard I of England after the death of her husband and Arthur would be careful in dealing with his own uncle, John of England, completely knowing what he is capable of would have John settle with his new wife, Constance in Ireland and did not give him any of control of the government which he would give to Berengaria and his wife, Elvira of Sicily.
Arthur’s son, Henry of Nantes is betrothed to Blanche of France, the daughter of Louis of France and Blanche of Castile in 1207, renewing the Peace in the Treaty of Le Goulet that Richard I had started earlier in 1200.

The two younger sons of Arthur and the children of John
Nantes, 1215
Arthur is grateful that his own younger sons, Richard II, Duke of Aquitaine and Gascony (who he invested of Aquitaine, Poitou, and Gascony), and Tancred of Lecce and Taranto (who is the heir of his own mother) are born and the inheritance and claims of Arthur and Elvira would now be divided, he had claimed to be the King of Sicily in 1207 in the right of his wife which would not be supported by Innocent III and forced them to be content in just having Taranto and Lecce in Sicily, his son, Tancred would have Taranto and Lecce as his inheritance and also his mother’s claim to Sicily, the investment of Richard II of Aquitaine and Gascony would cause the tensions between France and England to lessen after the birth of Richard II, Duke of Aquitaine, he would ask his mother, Constance if his decision of not splitting Brittany away would be good for the duchy, she said that it would just be fine.
Arthur would deal with his uncle who he views as harmful and already has two sons named Henry(1207) and Richard(1209) and three daughters, namely, Joan(1210), Constance(1214), and Eleanor(1215), he dealt with him by letting him control and manage Ireland and his own estates in the Angevin Empire and due to the animosity between John and Arthur, Arthur and his son, Henry would have issues with the children of John as well.
