With the help of the Netherlands and other countries who want to be friends with the Boer Republic it might. How would it make money, though? Diamonds? And gold i presume.

Perhaps. Maybe "Grand Boer Republic?"

The thing is the name Boer Republic is not a name to be used world wide, there where many Boer Republics as you can see in the Wikipedia article called: Boer Republics, two of them did achieved international recognition and complete independence: the South African Republic (ZAR or Transvaal) and the Orange Free State. Also do you think that we can make the United Republic of Africa (URA) into a super state in time of the 36-Hour War in 1948 with out having to turn them into Draka or use the stupid virus.

Perhaps, while still under Britain, they're given dominion of the British colonies in southern Africa (South-West Africa, Bechuanaland, Rhodesia, Nyasaland) and from there they can expand.

I think it still needs a serious stupid virus. Apart from anything else a highly exclusive and religious Boer population which despises other whitee, let alone other races, is likely to have a very small population base and a lot of internal opposition. Even if they gain the British colonies somehow I doubt they have the population or resource base to develop them.
Even in the Draka stories Stering had to get assorted boosts to their population, such as defeated Confederates and other emigrants from Europe which are far less likely in this case.

Well the enemy in the 36-Hour War are not the Soviet Union because i would not think they would nuke their own capitol as mention in the first page.

Well we could use the general standby of US SF stories along this line before the Soviets were accepted as a serious threat. I.e. a Nazi group that has escaped to a secret base somewhere. Totally unrealistic but then, without a PoD long, long before ~1940 anything is.

He could expand his empire or whatever he calls it be joining the allies and invading French Africa in some place, he will mine uranium ore at Shinkolobwe which in OTL was used for the Manhattan Project and sell it to the United states who in OTL bought more than 30,000 tons of uranium ore, this can be used to upgrade his country.
