I finally saw Black Mass yesterday. Not all that great but it wasn't bad either. 6/10. Researched Jurrasic Park and it still holds up well. 9/10. And finally, I rewatched my favourite film (or one of them), The Town. Ben Affleck, Jon Ham, Jeremy Renner etc all portrayed their characters excellently and that Boston accent is just outstanding. I highly recommend it. I hated Black Mass. JP is still a good film all of these years later. The Town is something I like quite a bit. The Town is based on a book called Prince of Theieves by Chuck Hogan. I'm reading it currently. I'd highly recommend it.

Just saw The Meg on HBO Asia with my dad. Entertaining for a Saturday night movie.

Just saw The Meg on HBO Asia with my dad. Entertaining for a Saturday night movie. I remember the book it was based on and always wonder how a movie would look like, well it was as you say entertaining. Reviews were mostly mixed. Some calling it a Jaws rip-off. Surprisingly, it sold well in the box office despite being a typical monster movie. I remember when the trailer was released on Facebook and YouTube, my classmate criticized the movie "There's not much of story. It's a just a big shark." Not surprisingly, The Asylum made a mockbuster of it. Posting that on the B-movie thread soon.

Anybody got any horror suggestions? I mentioned on the previous page It Follows. It's a very good horror.

I quite enjoyed It Follows and the original Night of the Living Dead.
Here's one: you're having a film night. What movies should yo avoid at all costs, and why?

Here's one: you're having a film night. What movies should yo avoid at all costs, and why? Anything with Ryan Gosling in it. He is just terrible. He has this brooding, silent attitude in every role he plays. Basically a sulking teenager... and I just want to send a B41 his way to see if he'll brighten up his attitude with 25 megatons of thermonuclear sunshine.

I like her response to trolls. Not surprised that Trump is supporting the QAnon propagandists. Possibly not politically the wisest move to use an Israeli actress for a [Greek-] Egyptian queen. Interesting get out to vote message from the Atlanta ladies.

As usual, the populist right would call it "woke SJW" agenda.

Cinemas remain open... just. I went to watch Saint Maud today. I thought it was a horror, sort of like The Exorcist or Carrie. It wasn't. It had quite the ending to it, a real shocker.
