You still retain all of your memories and knowledge from the future, but you wake up in your younger body, on the day exactly halfway between your date of birth and the present day. When would that be for you, and what would you do? How would you cope, and what might you do differently? And how much (or little) do you think that your actions could potentially alter the course of history?

By an insane amount of Bitcoin, followed by more Bitcoin. Get a power generator.
If I had unlimited resources kill all the bats in China.
People probably think I’m crazy tho if I mention anything that happened in 2020.

So i am 39 years old, if i go back in time it will be around 2001 and Bitcoin did not exist at that time, so no luck for me, have to wait 10 years during a time i will have some money from my investing in some companies.

It would be 1990 for me and I would be 31ish. Not long finished my spell at uni but too late to make my grades better. Have a few years before they close the accommodation I'm living in and I have to find a place of my own. Have to see if I could find the same house as pretty much suits me. Try and maintain some of my contacts long and possibly be a bit more active in the political sphere, although I would know that there would be a lot of frustration to come. Thatcher would be on the way out but John Major wasn't a significant improvement and we're got the mad-cow crisis coming up.
Wouldn't invest in bitcoin as too volatile even if they still come into existence. As Lordroel says some of the tech companies although would depend on how much I could remember about events in that period. [After all Apple for instance did had a rocky patch for a few years but can't remember exactly when.] However some useful investments and possibly some bets depending on events - such as the fall of the Soviet empire, which hopefully will still go with a whimper rather than a bang. Depends on how long before butterflies alter such events of course. Hopefully get a better fiscal security, although with my work I can't afford too much success.
The other option of course is to try and make use of my foreknowledge for the general good, although that's going to be difficult to do without ending up being locked up as insane. Also have to try and make sure I can make the best use of what I remember for my country which could mean risking misleading statements to try and avoid some of the problems that occurred OTL. Definitely don't want the same corrupt and destructive system lasting until the 2020's.

Well that is the big question, how can we solve things to happen without being send to a place that locks us up.

Well, if I plucked up the nerve to actually do it and could remember suitable details I could try having a word with security at my place, possibly via my boss, and mention a few that I knew were coming or already occurring but not yet made public. For instance possibly some of the notorious child sex abuse by people such as Jimmy Saville or the murders of the Wests. Possibly also events such as the Gulf War with Iraq's occupation of Kuwait due in - checking up Aug 1990. Or some economic scandals - although of course I need to avoid implicating someone with too much power at the time. Would depend on how much I could remember of events during this period and afterwards and how likely they might be to still occur.

People probably think I’m crazy tho if I mention anything that happened in 2020. Yeah, even explaining the current state of the world to someone from just ten or so years ago would seem too fantastical to be true. How quickly things go pear-shaped, I tell ya'.
Anyhow, since the ISOT would send me back to grade school in the early 2010s, I'm not sure what I'd do, other than relax and enjoy the ride before getting serious. Maybe tell my parents as soon as it's convenient, before warning them to prep in advance for any significant turmoil down the road. Granted, the OTL future have been butterflied by me being sent back, but it's still up in the air as to whether something comparably bad, if not worse would await in whatever ATL my appearance has created.
In my case, it hasn't come to this yet, but given that I'm already thinking about it as is, having stocked-up food reserves, investing in self-protection, and checking out gold and silver in the event of an economic crash are things I'd encourage them to look into. Heck, I might try and become a personal-finance nerd myself, so that my folks consider introducing me to financial markets early. Otherwise, I don't have many plans to change the world at large, despite my arrival having butterflied the course of history already. Honestly, I think the only way to determine what I'd do for sure is if this actually, well, happened to me in real life.
Maybe I'll have something more to contribute after thinking about it, but that's pretty much it for now. So, if anyone here was thinking of tagging me to ask for my reply, this is all I've got so far.

I mean just imagine going back to 2010-2011 and hearing someone say: 1. A reality TV Star is gonna become President. 2. Sus things in China lead to massive death. 3. Kanye West runs for President. 4. Bruce Jenner becomes a woman and runs for Governor of California 5. Democratic-Socialism receives a place in the Democratic Party. 6. China takes Hong Kong and no one bates an eye. 7. Michigan votes against a Romney but for a Republican 4 years later. 8. Democrats nearly defeat a former Republican Presidential Candidate in a Senate race. 9. A conservative-leaning Supreme Court legalizes gay marriage nationally. 10. Less then half of Americans will be regular church-goers. 11. Texas and Georgia are swing states and Virginia and Colorado are not.

Texas and Georgia are swing states and Virginia and Colorado are not. Yes, lots of stuff has changed over the past ten years. I'd have to verify some of the tip-offs here myself, but thanks for bringing them to my attention.
I suppose I'll add that, aside from repeating what I know to my folks, it may be wisest for me to keep my mouth shut, at least for the time being. Not just because of how inherently freaky coming ten years from the future is, but also because I'll be accused of making shit up, which is something elementary-age kids tend to do. Given that I was in that age group about a decade ago, I'd rather not be looked at as a fibbing troublemaker with an imagination too wild for his own good.
However, it'll be hard to hide my changed mannerisms and considerable IQ boost for long, courtesy of my life experience and mental development being ten years ahead of what my peers have achieved. In which case, I may have to sit down and discuss a strategy with my parents, since it'll only be a matter of time before my classmates and teachers notice something "different" about me, and may very well press me for answers (which I'd be wise to rehearse ahead of time). Or, maybe they'd pull me out of school and hire a private tutor to home-school me, not to mention whether I'll attend college a few years early or not.

I would be 11 years old on June 25, 2008. At this period, I just came back to Cebu after being stranded in Bohol as a result of Typhoon Frank. I'd learn that there was the M/V Princess of the Stars accident. At this case, I'd probably enjoy much of then Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis machiminas on YouTube. Might as well as download them since most of these users would not be around by later that year or in 2009. Additionally, I would try to enjoy much of 2008 Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, and The Disney Channel since this was the apex years of cartoons in the Philippines. So yes that would mean endless Phineas and Ferb, The Replacements, Codename: Kid's Next Door, Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends, Mr. Bean, The Fairly Odd Parents, and Disney Channel live action series. I would probably enjoy the rewinds of my life in 2010-2012. On July 5, 2013, I would try to meet my dream girl earlier than OTL by three years in a college party. I have a meme of that but I can't post it here due to privacy policy (i.e. I "stole" the pic with their faces in it and edited the running Arnold meme in it). This is the subject of my short story All For One Woman (scroll down to post dated November 16, 2020).

One small quibble. China has Hong Kong since 1997 when the British lease on the New Territories expired. Its just that in the last few years their repeatedly breached the agreement on the one nation two systems set up as part of the hand over and the last couple of years its basically thrown away the entire thing.

Ah ok, so somewhat legal human rights abuses rather then completely illegal. It still would be on British lease though, any reason y’all across the pond haven’t done anything? (Not that America has any room to speak)

The lease on the New Territories which made up the vast bulk of the colony expired in 1997, which was why Britain surrendered control of it to Beijing. Technically the smaller Hing Kong island and immediately coastal strip could have been held but it would have been economically unfeasible as it depended on the NTs for most of its food, power etc. Plus it was in the tail end of the Major government so there was no desire to make a stand on the issue. Which given the considerable imbalance of military strength combined with that its on China's doorstep and half a world away from Britain would have been impractical anyway. The most Britain could and should have done would have been to allow people from the colony to leave for the UK but that would have been politically impossible in the UK.
