Heh. The best example of a successful German invasion of Britain is still in the famous timeline {Spoiler}Decades of Darkness by Jared. That's however a TL with a PoD around 1800, which gives Germany enough time to build up a strong navy (it helps that the Dutch are included in this Germany), which can take on the RN. And that's after Britain lost a big war against the *USA. Find The Little Admiral, 1939: Hitler and the German Navy which is one of several scenarios in Third Reich victorious : alternate histories of World War II / edited by Peter G. Tsouras also good. Thank you my friend "The Rock".
I am quite busy right now. I am building a Thomas The Train wooden model for my 4 year old Granddaughter and a very, very rugged Wooden tug boat for my 2 year old Great nephew AKA "The Demolition Toddler".
He is the son of my Nephew and God Child. Thomas has some really fine lines and a lot of detail to it. The TUG is all brute strength. I am using Oak and hope he doesn't drop it on his foot. I know nothing is sailor proof and my grand sons have taught me nothing is little boy toddler proof.
My oldest Mattie inherited a fishing schooner an old fisherman my dad had befriended made for me when I was about 5. It was a nice piece of work and remarkable tough but I persevered and eventually trashed it to the point my Mom just collected it one day and put the pieces in a box. She gave me the Box when #1 daughter was pronounced pregnant with a boy. She told me "You think you are pretty good at building those wooden boats just because some people are willing to pay a you more than they are worth. Now let's see what kind of miracle man my son really is". I never could fool that gal. She knew me better than I knew myself and was far from awed by my accomplishments.
Let us just say Mattie's boat is as close to my original as I can make it from the photos I have of it when it was somewhat presentable. I must also confess about 1/3rd of it is entirely new wood and the sails & rigging, along with the missing dories, & anchors are 100% new. Well Matthew is now 13 and two weeks ago I was in his bedroom and there was OUR Boat. It was a little dusty but in damn fine shape. I asked him how he managed that. He said "My Dad put it away about a year after you gave it to me and I only got it back a few years ago." I said "Mattie, your Dad is a very smart man." He said I didn't even know I had the boat until he gave it back to me and explained who had given it to me and it's history.

For The Tug The Rock from the horror stories my nephew has told me about Hudson, there is no way I can overbuild it. If anything, I might have to think about using Steel instead of wood and even then he just might defeat my efforts. This is what it will look like when finished.
I will eliminate the Ladder, much too frail and the after deck house. I will cut the hull off a little below the water line, so no rudder or prop, again much too frail for Hudson. I will keep the mast but the spar will be much thicker and topped with a modified pencil eraser. I've done this before and it seems to work as a safety feature.
Be advised the next installment of my ATL may be a little late. My life has been complicated by the demands of opening shanghai's beach place and the need to get the boats made ship shape and Bristol fashion before the grandkids finish with school. I also have a long put off garage upgrade started (new cement floor, replace a skylight, reposition the over head lighting to make way for the electric garage door openers mechanisms. I'll have to be my own "Site Manager and coordinate the sub contractors I'd normally leave to a trusted retired builder who just so happens to be spending the summer out of state.
Might as well spend some of my ill gotten gain before Dementia Joe and his merry band of marxist terrorists inflate the dollar to the point it is worthless. Capital improvements to real estate will mitigate the inflation as property values around here are holding up very, very well.
Looking forward to Father's day when the whole crew will be over for a BBQ. I am sure eight hours of my progeny will have me looking for a place to hide with my good bottle of 14 years old Balvenie Caribbean Cask. It was a gift quite a few years back and it does no age in the bottle. Besides, I need the shelf space.

Time to bring back some life to this thread with a Real Time History epsiode on YouTube asking the question:
Could Germany Invade Britain in WW2? (Operation Sea Lion)
