At this point, it is very much the British Empire, not just a single island state off the Continent; this is reflected in the general descriptive discourse of the time. Nomenclature aside, the IJA is likely to be too spooked by Khalkin Gol to go to war with the USSR and, at the moment, their choices are a death ride into the teeth of a prepared British/Commonwealth force or something like the TBOverse fizzle. Question, are the DE islands OTL size ore DE size. Would DE British Empire allow Japan to trade scarp metal and oil, part of the reason of the Pacific War among others.

Britain, Ireland and Lyonesse are all their larger DE size, along with the smaller islands.
As said before, the DE Britain of 1943 has no love or sympathy for Japan, so there is no grounds for selling them scrap or oil, even if there was a surplus.

They take up a larger part of the seas in their location, but not a huge factor.

They take up a larger part of the seas in their location, but not a huge factor. So no touching OTL places then like Iceland ore even France which would be kinda problematic for the British, if the Germans had the strength to push into DE Britain.

No, a 60% larger Britain doesn’t touch Iceland, given that the @ distance from John O’Groats to Iceland is 554km. Nor does it touch France, with the English Channel being its @ width; the extra size of the British Isles sticks out more into the Atlantic west and north.

What about the OTL BEF, are they stuck in France still ore have i missed something.

It is alright. Questions allow for refinement of the idea, as well as showing what things can be emphasised.

Those are all the @ US aircraft that won't be needed and will in all likelihood be cancelled, along with any orders for tanks, small arms and artillery, the very thought of the Destroyers for Bases deal and even the June/July delivery of surplus rifles and 75mm guns.

If DE Britain does not need OTL United States as much and if OTL Japan has doubts to go to war with the United States and thus DE British empire, i can assume OTL United States will remain isolationist.

We shall see; the size of the British military and the implications of their 'arrival' might change things.
Even if Japan don't go to war in the exact same fashion, they are on a collision course with the English speaking democracies.
